So to be clear: We(blacks) are giving Hispanics and everyone else a pass to say the N word? Are we extended the same privilege by other groups to use racist terms as well? I'm trying to come to a compromise here and it looks one sided.

Nope. They do it all the damn time. They may tone it down when around a lot of black folks. But mexicans and Ricans here 100% use it amongst each other and people they’re cool with.

I grew up in Newark and Hispanic people have said it freely since the early 90’s. When I joined the Army in 2000 I almost got my ass kicked a couple of times and I had no idea why. It was so normal where I grew up. Now in my late 30s I don’t ever say it and feel stupid for being so ignorant back in the day.
