It depends what type of line these cats are pushing. Are you a Jim Jones type Puerto Rican? If that’s the case you a nikka. You’re culturally a nikka.

A Marco Rubio ass person ain’t getting away with that shyt.

Maybe it's me, but personally I'm at a point in my life I would never be around any ignorant Latinos using that word freely to begin with. I'm at a point now where I really don't want to spend too much time around Black folks who use the word too much. That's partly why I'm kinda :pachaha:at folks on here feeling the need to fight for exclusive rights to it. Ya'll want to spend time around ignorant people in an effort to police them :pachaha:

but they do

there's two discussions happening in these threads

1. use of the N word which we all agree if you non black you shouldn't be using it point blank period

2. whether or not it's "allowed to be used with the NYC / North Jers area as a example, problem is the Latino population in those areas is wayyyyyy bigger than the Latino population in other cities your mentioning, so yea in some ward that has like 5,000 Mexicans who don't speak 10 words in English u ain't hearing it

but soon as you get to bigger cities i. e Chicago, Miami, LA of course there using and this whole "allowing " thing becomes laughable, yea you might punk some young nerd but are you pulling up on Latin kings in Chi? them cuban chicos in Miami? suernos in LA?

you pick a city I could probably pull you a rap video with millions of views where a non black person is using

end of the day this all becomes online goon talk on who's city or hood is the hardest over a word that someone who ain't black shouldn't use

That's more of a new age thing. Sureno cant even say nikka on any prison yards. Back in the day you were looked at as a mayatero if you were going around saying nikka. And I think another poster brought up the Long beach asian rapper Stupid Young. He even said in a interview his big homies who are also asian crips don't like him saying nikka.

that shouldn't be a problem...he want people to give a pass to a person they dont even like?!...

Nah but I guess he feels like if it’s that serious than nobody should be getting passes

Because if you only try to enforce it with people you don’t like than is it about the person you don’t like or is it about the word?

And as far as the mexican vs black situation in places like California

I have seen on two separate occasions at least where dudes (boscoe and g perico) spoke on mexican homies of theirs that were in their gang (blood/crip aka black gangs)

So if the situation is as hostile as y’all say it is then 1 how does a mexican even find himself in a black gang and 2 wouldn’t that be an automatic death sentence for a mexican that sided with blacks?

Its not uncommon to have black sureno and a mexican crip or blood. The real test is prison. When riots break out the black surenos is usually on the black car hit list. Same for the mexican that is a blood/Crips, the mexicans and white's are gonna be gunning for you when a riots breaks out. Some people cant handle it and fold.

NYC is def responsible for letting these non-black latinos get away with using the n word in which gives other non-black people an excuse to use it.

almost every example of a popular latino rapper using the n word is from NYC.

growing up i remember mexicans getting stomped out by the black kids at my school for using the n word.

I hear that but people in here are acting like out on the street everywhere other than the east coast black people ain’t really fukking with Hispanics like that

If that’s the case how does a mexican even get put on to a black gang?

And now you’re telling me there’s even blacks in mexican gangs

Not that any of this justifies use of the word by non blacks but people be trying to create their own narrative for the sake of argument

Point im trying to make though is the way ny blacks say they grew up with latinos so they get a pass

Seems like the same rules apply in other cities (like la) it’s just not as prevelant as it is in ny

We have got to let that word go man. If you can't have a conversation without using it then you lost. People keep saying times have changed and all that... how about making it lame to say the n word. shyt is out of hand now.. it's been out of hsnd since Khaled's ass was using it. Now you got all these fair skinned motherfukkers using it and you don't know what they are or where they're from. shyts getting old man.

The word isn’t even cool anymore if everyone can use it

Just like rap music

It’s a different culture on the east coast. Hard to really explain. First time I came out west I was shocked at the disconnect between theclatinos here verses east coast but with history it makes sense.

You got to realize most Latinos and black folks were thrown in the projects together. Shared a common enemy with the gov. Plus the fact with a lot of interracial couples plus theclatinos here having African roots (whether they like to admit or not). I just gave you a summary and could go into more detail but in reality the relationship between carribean Latinos here is diff than the relationship between central amnericans out west. Shyt, the relationship between carribean Latinos here is diff than the rest of the USA. We all grew up together, mixed with each other, etc...

Plus it be impossible t go around “checking Latinos” who use the word. It’d be a lost battle. Fab, juelz, cam, nore are all mixed with black and Latino. It’d be stupid to go up to somebody of their color and say, “hey is one of ur parents black, oh ok it’s good u can use it”

Truth be told the easiest way would be for everyone to stop using the word, like myself.

Some of my college homies from the east coast would break that shyt down to me like this. Seeing it when I go to NYC and etc. made more sense.

In NY you’re grouped together as Spanish nikkaz— that’s Dominican and Puerto Rican’s. Most of us grew up together, I know it’s different in other places, but don’t come up here and try to regulate our shyt.

Culturally, we all grew up on the same blocks and went to the same school. Govt. grouped blacks (Caribbean), Dominicans and Puerto Rican’s as the same. Funnily enough, Mexicans had it the worst cause they would get clowned by all three of them.

Lol, Mexicans (and Central Americans) had it bad when I was growing up... lmao. Most of them would try to front and claim to be a Caribbean Latino or Columbian. Lmao

Low key, Haitians got it bad too (they were still loved though); just for jokes. Dudes would try to front and claim to be Trini or Jamaican. Dudes would be like “you ain’t Jamaican, your name is Francois Jean”.

Damn growing up in the Tri States was something else. We def have culture. Feel bad for those who ain’t experience it..

How do you police n-word use in New York City on a visual basis?

When you're sitting on the D Train, you don't know anybody's name or background, while
the n-word is zipping around during conversations, especially after school lets out.

Can DJ Envy use the n-word on the D-Train?

Can Romeo Santos use the n-word on the D-Train?

Can Julito (Namond from "The Wire") McCullum use the n-word on the D-Train?

Can Giancarlo Stanton use the n-word on the D-Train on the way to work?

Lmao!!! Exactly. It would be damn near impossible to “police” this shyt.

If your not from the area you just won’t get it. fukk, in Puerto Rico, they have people with strong African roots. tego calderon is a perfect example.
