Barkley loves gambling, drinking, and the nightlife too much to retire. His account probably told him his fat ass he can't afford to retire lol
You left out eating.......though you did acknowledge that he is fat :manny:

Just like any other sports show. I mean ESPN covers basketball even when there isn't a game on the network. FS1 has shows centered around basketball as well.
those are sports networks.

they'd have to create a set time for this show (which doesn't happen now) on a network that only schedules wrestling. It's less about the ability to do the show and more about the willingness of TNT to bother with this.

they also had sports divisions. They didn't mind carving out time for that stuff. Like I said, it's less about the ability to pull off the show and more about whether TNT cares enough to do it. If they wanna set aside Friday at 1AM for Inside the NBA, then so be it, but outside of AEW, TNT doesn't seem down to air anything live at this point.

The blueprint is there in this changing landscape

They should do a live stream post-game show on Youtube. They can still get advertising dollars and sponsors and ad placement during the live stream. Put the show on in direct competition to whatever the NBA is doing for the Nationally televised games, and then when the time comes, license out the show to have a multi-stream just like McAfee did with ESPN.

TNT can scale it down some if they want, but now that they don't have to fork out billions in this NBA deal, they should have enough bread to keep the show together.

Other shows/podcasts are already doing this on a lower scale. Gil's Arena is an example of a platform doing this, so there is a pathway to do something different and keep them together.

They already have a huge social and online presence with Bleacher Report and House of Highlights. And those social media teams know how to market shyt. The NBA fan that follows those pages/platforms will know when Inside the NBA is on and can be linked directly to it everywhere.

Turner doesn't? They have March Madness, MLB, NHL, and will also be having a portion of the Big East basketball rights starting in 2025-2026.

and they're not gonna end those shows and turn it over to Ernie, Kenny, Charles and Shaq. Those shows have their own situations that won't necessitate another show discussing what goes on there.
You said they only air aew live. I was pointing out that's not true.

March Madness is basically a 2 week event for TNT. By the end it's just on TBS or CBS. I mean shyt they air golf too sometimes.

TBS airs MLB but that doesn't mean they have an appetite to add new programming. By all accounts they're just hoping TruTV eventually because their sports-related channel

Turner does. TNT on the other hand might not want to do as much with that. They've de-emphasized a lot of stuff on that channel with no real direction as to what they wanna do with TNT specifically.

Even with Turner getting the Big East, they're just gonna spread the little they get among their networks
The new agreement, which will span from 2025-26 through 2030-31, encompasses coverage on FOX Sports (FOX, FS1, FS2), NBC Sports (NBC, Peacock) and TNT Sports (TNT, TBS, truTV and Max).
Eventually TruTV's gonna get the bulk of Turner's sports related content not behind a paywall (Max)

can literally just do a 2 hour show and wrap up the week and talk and have discussions on different topics, bring on nba stars. Probably they can't show hilights but that's really just about it

They may be able to get highlights in a settlement with the NBA. That would be big for their online platforms like Bleacher Report/House of Highlights...

NBATV is another factor. There's been no reporting on who is gonna operate it. TNT has been operating it for 16 years.
