Just like any other sports show. I mean ESPN covers basketball even when there isn't a game on the network. FS1 has shows centered around basketball as well.
FS1 goes hard on the NBA despite not having rights. ESPN had multiple NBA shows in the 90s despite not having the rights.

"I know he wanted to retire a long time ago, but he can't," James said. "He's stuck up on that stage every week."

The blueprint is there in this changing landscape

They should do a live stream post-game show on Youtube. They can still get advertising dollars and sponsors and ad placement during the live stream. Put the show on in direct competition to whatever the NBA is doing for the Nationally televised games, and then when the time comes, license out the show to have a multi-stream just like McAfee did with ESPN.

TNT can scale it down some if they want, but now that they don't have to fork out billions in this NBA deal, they should have enough bread to keep the show together.

Other shows/podcasts are already doing this on a lower scale. Gil's Arena is an example of a platform doing this, so there is a pathway to do something different and keep them together.

They already have a huge social and online presence with Bleacher Report and House of Highlights. And those social media teams know how to market shyt. The NBA fan that follows those pages/platforms will know when Inside the NBA is on and can be linked directly to it everywhere.

Now that you mentioned it. Charles Barkley and Earnie have that Steamroom podcast. And Shaq has his Big Podcast

Maybe they had these in place because they had the inside scoop on what was about to happen

Those podcast might be owned by TNT. I'm not certain on that. Even Shaq-tin-A-Fool is TNT's

I don't think any of those dudes are paying for ads during broadcasts. That's why I think TNT/WBD owns them because of how much they've pushed them over the last few years

Yeah I wouldn't mind they keep the same crew and turn it into a First Things First style of show in the evenings. Where Earnie reels off topics and the other 3 responds/debates them
And they can also do a livestream Alt broadcast once in a while of playoff games. Since they already do March Madness, they can still reel in alot of viewership
