Tagliabue/Goodell didn’t want smoke with the nba when Stern was in charge but then goodell saw silver’s goofy/corny lizard face and felt his weakness, smelt blood, deebo’ed silver and stole Christmas from the nba for good.

Love him Or hate him, stern forced his counterparts to respect him and his product/ league. Under his watch/reign the nfl would never dared to pull such a disrespect stunt like that to the Association.

Stern = old school, visionary, ambitious, wily, stern( literally lol) practical, uncompromising, strong, tough Jew with firm boundaries

Silver= new age, corporate, uncreative, soft, weak, accommodating, politically correct, sensitive, gimmick loving /people pleaser Jew

It was better back then When tough Jews like stern ran the Association with an iron fist
David Stern injured his knee in a fukking LAWYERS BASKETBALL LEAGUE when he was in his 20s, he was one of them NY Jews that lived and breathed basketball :mjlol:

Silver probably just got into the NBA cuz he saw a job opening :scust:

As an nba commissioner, David Stern loved the game of basketball and wanted it to grow in popularity and stature everywhere. He lived and died by basketball. But for a geeky, nerdy, neoliberal, rootless cosmopolitan, corporate, « fake woke » stooge like Adam silver, the position of nba commissioner is just another high-profile and high-paying job. I’m sure he doesn’t care much about sports like that. He doesnt have the passion for it.

Lol if the nba runs into serious issues they'll just take even more of the publics taxes and land like the rest of the supposed free market capitalist entities

Short of being targeted by state power for political fodder reasons they'll be alright

True hoops fans are "all in" for the NBA once Halloween hits, maybe even earlier watching Summer League.

Those that love NFL and NBA, keep track of hoops but don't watch closely until Christmas.

Big NFL fans that are NBA casuals won't care about basketball until the All-Star break.

This can change depending on how good your favorite NBA team is versus your favorite NFL team is.

When it tips off doesn’t matter. They could start that bytch on 1 January and folks still aren’t tuning in. People gotta come to the realization that NBA hoops are third in the pecking order now behind pro and collegiate football. Maybe that’ll change in a generation but now, nah. Hell at the rate it’s going, college football is going to annoy its core audience and turn them away to the NFL or NBA. I also think a small part of the problem is the lack of interest in college basketball has actually hurt the pros.
The one & done plus all the foreign hoopers means most American fans barely recognize who the new stars are coming in.

You don't have the Shaq, Kareem, Bird, Magic, MJ, Hakeem etc., type guys that you saw star in college for a bit AND THEN go pro with a built-in following. It's dudes that are super hyped in high school....that almost disappear for a year in college and then come back as a lottery pick...unless they go to a blue blood and play well (Flagg) or just light up college for a year (KD).
