I loved Columbus. When I moved there it was 650k resident and is damn near 1 million now.

Moved back to my hometown Decatur, IL, which is 70k and steadily declining

One thing I noticed living in Columbus, was how much North Carolina was mentioned as a place ppl were moving to.

I understand the gripe with a bunch of new residents. That shít drives up the cost of living and really makes traffic bad

Aw man, I remember Katrina when I lived in Columbus. I met some cool ppl from New Orleans.

Everytime I enter a North Carolina thread, I hear majority positive things. Then I look up the stats and I see how many ppl move there.

If we get to spend any time away from this part of Illinois, we are grateful, even if it's just for 5 days
