Crime in CLT gonna be way worse than crime in Atlanta in 20 years. All the brehs up there ain't eating. Whole lot of Black folks in West, NW and East CLT poor AF. And the city don't throw them nikkas no bones. Ain't no opportunities for people like that there. It's just not an issue now because they can just marginalize them and act like they don't exist because they don't go outside their boundaries. Once the light turns on them dudes heads and they start wanting to flex up and stunt it will be a problem. Once CLT figure out that they can just go to South Park or Myers Park and hit a lick/scam or stop shopping with NY dudes and go south to get cheaper numbers, the streets will be wild up there. I saw it when I was there. It's going to happen sooner than later too.

Following the pandemic, has that happened in CLT yet?

Everywhere...You never there.
It’s looking like the 90’s around here but it’s not as bad as that post made it... yet. Most of the murders happen in the usual places sadly. Crime is up pretty much everywhere though so I won’t just put that on Charlotte
It’s not up like that in Charlotte. And you would never see Charlotte like how ATL has been with this concentrated spike in shootings, homicides and robberies ... NEVER. For a variety of reasons . Trust .

It really comes down to the murder rates not just talking but I’ll agree cause ATL made the top 25 this year like it always does. Don’t recall seeing Charlotte on the list. Might have to back and check city data to make sure.

Of course the ATL
With all due respect it’s not. Charlotte has this little brother complex with big bro ATL but Charlotte isn’t on the same level as ATL. Charlotte is a nice regional Southern city like Nashville, Memphis, Birmingham or Jacksonville but it isn’t Atlanta. shyt it ain’t even the best city in its own state (Raleigh).

If Charlotte ever got there it was back in the day ... like crack era shyt or in tail end of the crack era as things were coming to a close . Charlotte will never get back to that point if it ever got there in the first place . The state has too much invested in its major cities (Charlotte and Raleigh) for that to ever happen. They’d literally get rid of negroes . Literally . And that’s already kinda happened if we’re being honest :mjpls:

Yeah I should’ve said that it’s not as up as it could be. One is too many for me and way but you’re right. Just too many unavoidable shootings happening for real. All that spilling out into the nice neighborhoods stuff definitely ain’t happening though. Ain’t no way that’s happening

District Attorneys get super tough on crime, instituting internal practices of overcharging defendants and constantly seeking max sentences. DAs also work with the police chiefs to institute tougher more hostile policing . And then of course , good ol gentrification.

And over a course of time , negroes (of a certain Demo) are outta here . :mjpls:

Breh this is all just opinion. I haven’t seen any facts on why you would choose Charlotte over Atlanta (affordability, unemployment rate, housing market, job market, etc). Even non tangible things like culture, quality of life I’m not sure what y’all are basing this off of. I’m an Atlanta native but I went to school in Greensboro so I’m very familiar with Charlotte. I like Charlotte too but it’s not on Atlanta’s level IMO. It’s a smaller city and although a lot of black people live there I have never got a sense of the black culture of the city like I do here in Atlanta. Maybe it’s just there and I’ve missed it but I always feel like something’s missing when I’m in Charlotte
