These people cant articulate it because the honest truth is it's just another dumbass right wing anti-intellectual movement in the history of conservative anti-intellectual outrage.
When someone tells you that they did not enjoy an acclaimed show or movie because it was "too woke" what they mean without being able to articulate is they would rather their shows and movies be blissfully ignorant of anything happening in the world, free of any cultural observation, free of any diverse representation, and free of any intellectual thought. They wanna go back to the 80s where TV was just cheeky white people saving the day, and didn't provoke conversation or require you to think.
When someone tells you that they are giving our children "pornography" in school, they are referring to sexual education books. Books that include illustrations and descriptions of sex acts. This is a good thing. Our schools SHOULD have sex ed classes and text. Any child development expert would tell you you shouldn't wait until you're child is damn 18 to teach them what sex is or how to identify sex. They already know by the time they're damn 7. But when you're some ignorant sanctimonious right wing dummy you just don't get it. You dont get the science, facts, and data behind why some people feel its good to teach children what sex is. It all comes off as some bizarre satanic ritual to you or something. Truthfully lot of these ignorant conservative parents don't want their kid to learn about sex at all. Just ill-equipping them with their own ignorance.
Its no different than the folks who freaked out when they found out the Earth isn't the center of the orbit. No different than the legions of people who dismissed climate change as a "liberal agenda" set out to "control us" 20 years ago (and some to this day, even with all the visible proof). Its been damn near a decade since I last remember a full week of winter snow in NYC. No different than the covid mask and vaccine drive outrage. These people literally believe doctors and scientists are evil. Conservatives are just consistently the simple minded among us in society.
Being a right wing conservative has always been about denying change, denying new ideas and views, and defending some bigoted or anti-intellectual "traditional" culture that makes you feel superior to others and doesn't require you to think critically or expand your ideas of the world. They ALWAYS feel like they're being "controlled" or "forced" to consider actual, gathered scientific information.
