If you from Atlanta you already know this the case on Candler Rd, Flat Shoals/285, Fulton Industrial..but that shyt is in Gwinnett, Rockdale..everywhere

Poor folks and drug addicts been living like that.

My fam had to stay in one in early 2000 in Smyrna before we found a place.

I was used to low income apartments but that ish was really eye opening as a youngsta seeing all the crackhead parents wth they kids literally no one was doing right, not even my folks

I remember one weekend, this dude came through in a limo and let all the kids ride in it we was lit

And I befriended this kid and his sister, both they parents were crackheads and eventually they went to the state I really hope they ended up doing aight but likely they didn’t.

I remembe when I saw that for the 1st time back in like 08 or omething

there was this older lady that was straight living out of a hotel and it blew my mind cause I didn't understand. One of the hotel employees told me to think about it... it actually was a great way to save cash

I delivered pizza to a room there before and a lot of that persons stuff was in there

Get off on Old National, and you got about 2 or 3 of them that folks live out of. You can rent a room for about 175 a week. When I did lyft, I can remember taking folks from the hotels to one of the laundromats off of Riverdale rd.

I was being cheap and stayed at one of those joints in Dallas years ago for a short stay because the fee there was cheaper than the adjacent hotels close by.

A Rose Royce parked right next to me one night and someone broke into my shyt, but did not touch the Rose Royce.

Drug addicts living out of the local cheap motels have been a thing SINCE THE EIGHTIES, and likely sooner than that but I can only speak from my life’s timeline.

I remember we lived in Brooklyn Arms Hotel in Brooklyn in the EARLY EIGHTIES, a cheap ghetto hotel known for its homelessness, drugs, and violence. We lived in there with many, many other families, both Black and Puerto Rican. It was rough.

And that was in the 80s.
