These mfs sound so sheltered and out of touch:snoop:

Drug addicts living out of the local cheap motels have been a thing SINCE THE EIGHTIES, and likely sooner than that but I can only speak from my life’s timeline.

I remember we lived in Brooklyn Arms Hotel in Brooklyn in the EARLY EIGHTIES, a cheap ghetto hotel known for its homelessness, drugs, and violence. We lived in there with many, many other families, both Black and Puerto Rican. It was rough.

And that was in the 80s.

Yeah this aint new. We had a few joints in my hometown. The Cornet Motel, Star Motel.

I read this in 2016, for an in depth look into the housing crisis, and how it affects black community esp, in places like Cleveland and nationally. Like someone said, once you have been evicted, or have bad credit, not to mention the first and last months rent, many people are only able to live day by day in those motels.

I remember I stayed at Intown Suites on the north side of Columbus once. Never again.

I also stayed at a Super 8 on 161. Never again to that as well. It was a Clarion not even 5 mins from there and it wasn't THAT bad, but they closed down.

Good point about the cash/credit card thing.

There's a Days Inn in Reynoldsburg, Ohio. Out of date as hell, but they accepted cash. $60 a night and the rooms were clean. When I go to Columbus now, I try to get a Hilton hotel or somethin'.

That’s a rip off. The room probably costs more than the woman. I would hope the hooker and the hotel had an agreement.
