Thinking about moving into the city. Just want to change my surroundings. I was thinking about houston, but i always wanted to stay in NYC.

But its so fukking expensive. I figure the money i'll save on a car i can put it into clothes though.

So how much is the cheapest apartment i could find in NYC? Any buildings/neighborhoods you can recommend? I'm a two time felon also, so i need a place that isn't too serious bout background checks and all that bullshyt.

You think it would be worth it to move up? Or should i just head down south? I like the idea of hot weather year round, but i've heard the south is like spread all the way out so its harder to get around and meet nikkas. Plus i'm not tryna get lynched.

Unless you're in southern Florida it's not hot year round in the south. And you meet people easier here than you would up north because people are friendlier, at least females are.

What southern cities would you recommend? I'm bout to turn 20 and i can pay up to 1500 a month for rent. Looking for somewhere with a nice night life and maybe close to some community colleges.

$800 is the cheapest I've seen. And that would be for a bum ass studio in a bum ass part of the Bronx or Brooklyn. Either have your paper right, or move to Houston breh, real talk.
My papers straight. I'm just trying to find cheapest place possible cuz i don't wanna put all my money into rent.

Kinda leading toward the south just cuz i could go to mexico for the weekends.

Then their are plenty of decent spots you can get for about 1300-1400 month in decent neighborhoods, you just have to put in the research

Nyc is so much faster though. I've never been to the south, but everytime i'm in NY i'm gettin money hand over fist. And i like the whole vibe. I feel like with my job (involves meeting a lot of people) i might make more money in NYC.

Southern living does sound fun too though. Just chillin and shyt. Give me some more opinion you guys.

Thread is basically Move to NYC vs. Move down south now.

In the Bronx you could get a decent sized 2 room apartment for $1000-$1500

There's decent places all over to be had for decent prices by NYC standards you just gotta look for it.

If you willing to spend $1500 a month I don't see why you wouldn't be able to find a decent place in the city :manny:

honestly...it's hard to answer unless you give us an idea of what your budget is....

and to be 110 with you...if you can't afford atleast...bare minimum, 1000-1200 a month for a studio or 1 bed room...you are going to be in the hood...and even some spots there cost more than that.

He said he's willing to spend up to $1500 that's why I said that, he likes the lifestyle and potential opportunities in NYC, also feels like he would make the most money here because of his job. :yeshrug:
