Understandable. I'm gonna mostly lay in the cut anyway. You won't see me making a lot of posts or drawing attention with dumb threads or something. I'll stay out of the way of the real hardcore cavs fans.

Do we really need Ray Allen?

:JR: :JR:

Also, this video alone shows how Lebron does make his teammates better.

Its why Norris Cole looks like shyt now compared to a respectable back up point guard when lebron was on the Heat.

A Buckeye State Of Mind
I don't care what the standings or the type of teams we've been playing say. I know we're the best team in the east. If we had this team from the beginning,we'd be fighting for that #1seed. Sure we would've still had to take our share of lumps and growing pains, but it wouldn't have lasted as long as they did. This team is definitely going to the finals. The only question is do we have enough to compete with the west champs.

Lets take a look at who can come out that would really gives us problems warriors is one spurs it all depends on matchups to be honest

Optimistic But I Got Hands Tho
I mean, the only problem with Ray is that he's gonna want minutes, and id rather have JR out there for his offense (b/c he is always capable of going for 30) or Shumpert out there for his perimeter D. I dont see where he fits.

He's basically washed at this point other than his reputation for hitting big 3s.

I feel like LeBron is only hell bent on getting him because he trusts him in the playoffs. I feel like LeBron selfishly wants Ray because he knows he will get the spacing on the court with him no matter what when it's closing time.

I don't know if he trusts Love or JR in those moments. I can easily see Love shrinking in those moments. I get that.

But in 2015, Ray Allen = Mike Miller = James Jones. No need to have all 3 when you've already got another corpse in Haywood rotting on the bench.

I just feel that the need for another big and another PG should trump that.

If Ray signs they'll probably move Shumpert to back-up SF. This is probably what the playoff rotation would look like. Not enough depth IMO.

Irving
Smith/Allen
James/Shumpert
Love/Thompson/Marion
Mozgov

I agree. Id rather have a back up PG or another C. Plus, there's no guarantee he would be any better than miller or jones. Based on how Lebron started the season and how Shumpert has been slowly coming along Ray wont even be in game condition for awhile. Shumpert was out 8 weeks and hes a young kid and still getting his legs back. Ray is like 40.
