@jaguar paw first and foremost what kind of cut did you get, secondly it's better to win the title, there are zero guarantees that you could make it back next year because all it takes is 1 injury and everything is done. Those problems are secondary to winning a title, the only time I advocate losing is when you're a middle of the road team and you can get a lottery pick, that's it. Outside of that, it's always better to win, even if the team gets broken up, you win it now and worry about everything else later.

I get a full taper with the razor blade line-up. Waves are high tide per usual.

I want them to win. Obviously.

I don't want any settling in the off-season tho. I want them to still be aggressive to plug future holes (pause).

If they win out hobbled there could be a feeling in the front office to improve the roster.

Nah, I think with LeBron being on one year deals until after next season they have no choice but try to put the best team around him. They have no other option but to try and retain everyone, if they win the title this year with the roster the obvious discussion will be about them repeating next year with Love.

And they kept that Haywood contract for a reason, so I'd guess they plan on using it. I wouldn't worry about Smith getting a big offer, there are a lot of wings on the market and his reputation isn't that great.

The barber shop went quiet tonight when I asked a simple question..."Why hasn't LeBron ever had at minimum an average back up player behind him?"

nikkas was . His narrative trumps all. It's never just basketball for players of that magnitude. You can't have a serious conversation with him about reducing his minutes because he needs his stats.

No one publicly has said anything about who they've worked out. Griffin has been spotted watching point guards only during the tournament.

Executive of The Year is mostly politics. Cavs have a bad perception for obvious reasons. I think Tristan may have saved Chris Grant's career tho.

Its not all bad if we lose this year, I just feel like in order to have sustained success the Cavs need to get this first one. Lebron has taken care of himself to this point in his career and you don't want to get unlucky with injury. It's good mentally for the young players to win now. Whenever Lebron's athleticism finally leaves him,Kyrie and Love will be seasoned in the playoffs and can carry the team. It would light a fire under Kevin Love too because he'll get a ring but knows he didn't get a chance to contribute.
