To be fair, the injury timetable and start of next season line right up so this could end up being a non-issue at the start of next season but I am 100% biased in that I don't want wiggins or parker AT ALL as far as "fit" goes. I still think Embiid is fully in the discussion for the #1 pick in Griffin's eyes for two reasons- Wiggins and Parker don't fit completely in our lineup, and a center (with the right coach, of course) can develop without a ton of pressure or attention in our lineup because of Kyrie and Dion. My biggest fear is that we don't draft Embiid and we're underwhelmed with Wiggins or Parker while Embiid is showing his potential HoF quality on another team.

But you could say the same thing if we took Embiid. He could have injury issues while Parker and Wiggins are the league's next studs.

Also, I really disagree with you that Wiggins and Parker don't fit in our lineup. They both play SF, and we haven't filled that position since Lebron left. This is our perfect draft. The top 3 prospects filled our positions of most need.

Draft Wiggins (and if by some chance Bron comes back) and put him at shooting guard and bring Waiters off the bench. Or either draft him and put him at small forward and run with Waiters as the off guard. You have a solid perimeter core right there and along with Bennett and Thompson. They have to get this pick right cause with the misses they have had in the draft they cant afford another one. They could have a lineup of Kyrie Klay Thompson Andre Drummond and someone like Oladipo if they had took those risks instead of the ones they did.

I respectfully disagree but I get what you're saying...I just don't see this team improving at all until we get some rim protection. I just can't picture the Cavs making any significant strides with Parker or Wiggins, DEFINITELY not with Wiggins. I don't think Parker is trash but I think that the sf spot is easier to address through free agency---I just can't see Parker making a large impact on THIS team.

Now that Embid is injured, you have to explore trading either Waiters and/or Kyrie. A perimeter of Kyrie; Waiters, Parker or Wiggins will lead you nowhere.

Trade Kyrie to Philly for the 3rd pick and Nerlens
Trade Waiters to the Bulls for Carlos Boozer(salary dump), 16 and 19 picks.
Draft Wiggins and Exum at 1 and 3, BPA at 16 and 19.

Exum
James Young
Wiggins
Capella
Nerlens

good on them getting Blatt I've heard he's an excellent offensive coach. defense is still a problem but for whatever reason the team went through stretches last year where they couldn't get a point for minutes at a time

So brehs what's the consensus do we pass on Embiid or maybe trade down...I still think Embiid will be a top 4 pick because if he would last to 5 I'd trade down with Utah

That's not what's up way too much...Waiters could maybe net a pick from the kings or 76ers which I like.

There is a small percentage they take him if they trade down. I will say this. It's 2014, I don't know what magic a surgeon can do nowadays when it comes to injuries like this with men of his size.

The Cavs will be checking on him tomorrow to see what the docs say post surgery.

I doubt they are not going to take a medical risk with guaranteed salary over the next 3 years tho.

If they take Wiggins or Parker, Waiters is probably out. They need big defenders that can space the floor.

I'm still all in on Embiid because he is the most potentially franchise changing player in the draft for the way this team is currently constructed...at least that's what my heart says. My head says if Blatt is going to be our head coach then we open up the throttle, draft Parker and go full out Phoenix Suns 7 seconds or less, start trying to blow teams out because this team is not built for defense.

What's the odds that waiters could be dealt for the 76ers 10th pick, the Magics other lotto pick or even the kings pick...

I'd actually try for veteran players for waiters instead,

I think Blatt is a done deal. They are just ironing out the details.

I need more for Waiters. He scares the shyt out of me. He's the type that comes back to haunt you when you give up on him.

They need some proven talent for him. In the right situation, he could become the ultimate heat check guy.
