Brehs, I can't remember the last time I've liked a Cavaliers Head Coach until Blatt.

:wtf:

Had to be Fratello/Wilkens. That was in the 90s!

:wtf:

I feel the same, I'm glad the Cavs didn't take a retread castoff coach from another team and Blatt by all accounts seems like a coach who will develop guys like Bennett and Zeller instead of leaving them languishing on the bench, he seems to be legendary for finding potential in every player on his roster. You guys listening to Cleveland radio at all today? They HATE this hire, but nationally this is the most praise the cavs have gotten in a looooong time. I'm listening to Hooley and Jerrod and they would have rather re-hired Fratello or given Mark Price a shot:camby:
No re-treads, we only move forward:jawalrus:

It's because the causal fan (and this includes some of the Cleveland media) don't really pay attention or care about what they don't know or are exposed to.

If they did the research they'd know he is the ideal coach for the team we've built.

Casual fans just want familiarity, headlines, and names.

The only concern I have is whether he will be ready for the huge transition from Euro to the NBA. He needs a different gameplan for 82 games and now has to deal with the over-inflated egos of some of our players. Hes got a huge task ahead.

Zak Baris talked to an associate of Kyrie. Says he has spoken to Blatt and approves the hire.

Also thinks there is a 90 percent chance that he signs the max extension if offered it July 1.

Cavs offering the max to Kyrie is a no brainer IMO. He was a top point guard in his second season, and i think last season's regression had a lot to do with Mike Brown/Bynum.

After that second season no one had any doubts about the kid bein a top 5 player someday. Last season sort of hurt his cause though
