Some things to consider:
Cavs were a top ten rebounding team last year. Just imagine what adding Kevin Love and LeBron will do on the glass.
Middle of the pack defensive team. For as much criticism as Mike Brown got last year the overall team defense was much better. Cavs were bottom of the league in defense in 2012-2013.
Tristan's TS% went up last year after switching hands. His blocks have decreased every year. He averaged 1.6 per game as a rookie. He contested more shots back than. He's also played the most minutes and started the most games out of any Cavalier the past 4 years. Hasn't missed a game in 2 years. His growth is imminent to our success. His role off the bench should be more defined now.
Dion Waiters averaged 19 and 4 assists post all-star break.
LeBron, Irving, and Love combined win shares for 2013-2014 were higher than 11 total NBA teams.
Kyrie's catch and shoot numbers are misleading. Cavaliers (and you would know if you watched them) were an awful passing team. Passes often didn't land on target.

Tristan will be effective off the bench with less minutes and a more specific role. I really hate his game and the fact we're gonna end up overpaying him next year. We could use the cap space.
I'm not 100 percent sure he moves to the bench. It may be Andy.
Even if Tristan moves to the bench his minutes won't be reduced. Love and Tristan will spend a good amount of time manning the 5 spot.
Griffin is in interesting position with Thompson and Rich Paul. We can't cut bait with him because we won't have any cap space when LeBron and Love re-up in 2015. Kyrie's extension kicks in as well. We are not going to get much help in a sign and trade from the NBA either because of what we did this summer.
Paul also probably has a wink wink deal for Tristan done. His market value won't be high because teams want young power forwards that can shoot.

Did anyone see the footage of Lebron at the homecoming event tonight here in Akron??? Lebron was asked about his option to opt out of his contract after a year and he said he isn't going anywhere. He also talked about being excited to play with Kevin Love and said that he likes the fact that Dion Waiters has a chip on his shoulder.
