Ayesha is a failed actress who deep down is jealous Steph's success because she'll always be known mainly for being his wife.

You'd think by now she'd be content to just sit back playing her role. She still wants to run her mouth though telling everyone how she wasn't that into him to boost her ego.

Which is crazy. If my wife making millions, but getting all the attention, I wouldn’t even care.

I can play my PlayStation in a mansion?

This is easy to say until it's your ego that's taking the beating day in, day out. :pachaha:

Scale it down and try dating a local tv reporter or a woman doing the weather. She's not any "real" celebrity, but she's a known face and she's on-air pretty much every day. Every place she goes, you automatically get the back-seat-know-your-place treatment from people who want her time and don't care who she's with. Or worse, like you're an annoyance and she's a notch in their belt to claim so they can belittle you.

All this to say, it's part of the life you chose, but that's something you hash out in private. Babbling all this insecurity on a podcast or whatever talk show is making your relationship look like there are weak spots. And where people think there are weak spots...you know what's coming.

Alright coli brehs, story time.

I’m pretty successful and well known in my field — like I’ve been in the media a lot and get flown around the world to speak sometimes etc. etc. Anyway, before all this, I met a woman who would become my wife. At the time she was completing her masters to become a therapist and I was just a youth worker making 50k per year. Fast forward a few years and all of my hustle starts to pay off, not just in money but in the notoriety I described above. That’s when things in the relationship start falling apart. I was busy yes, but I never neglected my family. ALWAYS had them in my schedule. Every night.

One of the big issues in my marriage was that my wife lowkey resented being “the wife” to the successful guy. She HATED it. And eventually started lowkey sabotaging things for me, fukking up opportunities and doing harm to my professional (and personal) reputation. Obviously we aren’t together anymore (I wasn’t a perfect husband either, especially once I started to resent her behaviour I’ll be real about that — I started freezing her out of my presence and decisions), and what I’m describing was one of my main issues. So when I hear something like this, I have experienced it before and the odds of it ending well are low.

Hopefully Ayesha can work through her insecurities in a way my wife couldn’t until we were already broken up and dating other people, but if Ayesha can’t figure it out, she is going to continue being unhappy, which won’t be good for the household. Good news for Steph is his profile is so pristine and he’s so world class at his profession that Ayesha wouldn’t be able to sabotage him the way my ex did with me. However, dude must have incredible patience to stay with Ayesha. She’s lucky dude is so religious. I hope she can find her peace.

Just imagine he has to live with her. No wonder he's an amazing golfer.

:lolbron:

"honey does it usually take 13 hours to play a round of golf?"

"sorry baby, you know the game has changed since covid. All these clowns working from home clogging up the course."

"I thought that's why you joined that private club?"

"what had happened was....there was a wedding and the course was closed"

"whose weddi......"

"baby gotta run, I'm gonna go shoot 10,000 free throws"

TYRONE GA!
What particular set of skills does she possess that would have them living anything remotely to their current standards of living?

that's what they do consider when they make these statements.

sure, she coulda been successful on her own, but not near a billion dollars successful.

If you listen to the actual clip she says she didnt think he would like "someone like her". That in addition to her previous statements all reek of insecurity more so than her trying to belittle Steph.

She also said she didnt sign up for the superstar life. She wanted him when she thought he would be a HS coach. Literally none of this is what the caption says it is.
breh, shyt crazy. the naratives people attempt to create, and can create when folks dont actually lsiten to the clip or read things.

aint shyt wrong with what she said in this sound bite.

riggghht...she and everyone else in hs and college knew steph's dad was a former nba player worth a lot of dough.

she accepted steph once he showed interest, but she never had anything for him. wtf? why she always got to be the main character?

shorty has a "me" deficit. not a good look at all.

when this happened though...😂
