To be fair, there's 200k Black Indians still here today. What I think is, they want to preserve that history. It's not that they are ashamed of being Black. However, this shyt is still wrong.

Oh I know they aren't ashamed of being Black. It comes down to sharing revenue. The key to understanding all behavior is right there in this story.

If they start officially recognizing Black Indians, they'll have to cut that pie a lot more ways, and that will pretty much defeat the point of "Native Pride" in the first place.

The whole point of ethnic enclaves is to preserve wealth within that enclave so it can be used as a springboard to launch successive generations into financial, then political hierarchies.

EXACTLY. I've been researching Native history and I see this a lot. Those Natives at the top do NOT want to share that pie with the African ones However, the Freedmen are still gonna fight shyt is sad all around. We gotta fight all these people with Economics like you said.

Slavery would not have been possible as an institution without the support of the majority of Native Americans...its only logical that if free slaves were given safe passage on their lands then the whole mess would have fallen apart.
The groups that did take in and help escaped slaves like the seminoles were probably more a rebellious aberration than the norm.
