Ever since the Chevrolet SS was unveiled and then banned in Israel because of its name, we have ignored it, but we can’t do it anymore because the model in question has just received some interesting items signed by Hennessey. According to the tuning company, the HPE1000 package, as it has been known, is adding the upgraded fuel injectors, the custom camshaft, the stainless steel exhaust system, a new ECU, a high flow air filter, an air to air intercooler and some other buts and pieces.
The package also includes a 7.0 liter LSX V8 engine, which has been equipped with two turbochargers, a Callies 4340 forged steel crank, a new intake manifold and low compression pistons. Thanks to all of these modifications, the total output produced by the unit stands at 1,000 HP (745 kW). No specifications details have been announced yet, but we do know that the standard model, with its LS3 V8 6.2L unit, producing 415 HP (310 kW) and 563 Nm (415 lb-ft) of torque can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph (96 km/h) in approximately 5 seconds. The exterior badging, the floor mats, the individually numbered dash plaque can also be ordered, along with the Carbon Aero body kit and the Alcantara wrapped steering wheel.
