This is actually pretty normal though. Well, maybe not normal, but very common across the globe. Go to any country in the world. If a native kills someone, it's just business as usual. If a foreigner/immigrant kills someone, people are liable to get up in arms about it. The person is just as dead either way, but if an outsider does it, it sparks a "burn him he killed one of our own!!!" feeling in people. It's a primal, tribalist instinct I guess. Hardly exclusive to black people.

But i am familiar with gangs and thats not how they move....

It just seems to stand out more here with the more mixed demographics in out country. Other countries like India or Israel aren't as used to dealing with such a melting pot of people/cultures as we are though. Their populations are truly 90% or more whatever the native race is, so that backlash and ridiculousness is more understanding, in my eyes. We deal with whites, Asians, Mexicans, etc everyday, and it's not like they're "outsiders", especially compared to other countries. It seems more of just trying to pass the blame and ignore our own misgivings than anyone else.

I see a lot of ignorant posts in this thread. First of all, she was NOT targeted. Just a bunch of random nikkas shooting, and she happened to get caught in the crossfire after arriving at home (she was still in her car at the time). Also, like someone said, the gangs aren't even organized. You have a bunch of cliques out here just shooting for no reason. A lot of this came about when they tore down the projects and dispersed these nikkas throughout various neighborhoods. You can't just be putting rivals in areas where other gangs are already established. But the projects should've never been constructed in the first place. You put a bunch of people in a condensed space with no funds and no hope, what did they EXPECT to happen?

once again blaming outsiders for the problems we see. It isn't anyone's job to separate rival gangs from each other in the name of peace. Why does someone have to tell black people to stop killing each other in order to make our communities safe and livable? Why does someone have to tell black people to support their own business and practice group economics to prevent hopelessness and despair? These should be natural traits. But because they aren't, it indicates that there is a deep cultural/social dilemma with our people in this country. Blame it on institutionalized racism and the ongoing legacy of slavery all you want to. There are no people on earth who've gone through similar struggles that degrade and destroy their own kind at the same rate as black people here in America. This all points to a social/cultural issue and the sooner we come to realize this the quicker we can reverse this ongoing decadence amongst our people. The perpetual BLAME game must come to an end. The biggest lie ever told is that blacks cannot help themselves. That mentality in of itself is inherently racist and suggest blacks do not have the wherewithal to help themselves. We CAN do better because we HAVE done better.
