Why is this one city so out of control? You can blame the government, but the people are choosing to act like this. Something isn’t right. How did it get this bad? Do they want to live that way? What is it going to take to get lifestyle changes? It can’t be JUST poverty.

But it is poverty. Crime has a direct correlation to poverty. This is what happens when you herd a bunch of poor people into overpacked areas with limited resources, little to no jobs, no education prospects, no trade prospects, and easy access to drugs and guns. It's a system that's working how it was designed to work. I feel very uncomfortable seeing people on the Coli make posts like this, insinuating that this MUST be something else...perhaps the moral failings of "our people." In reality these people are stuck in a trap.

But everyone thats in poverty aren't committing crimes though.. And a segment of the people committing crimes aren't as poor as you think..

The real issue. Who's protecting the good brehs. The criminals got everyone not telling for their own benefit. The good folks are the last people considered or protected by anyone.

There’s a generation of demons that need to be imprisoned. The issue is that a lot of them are not of age so even when they’re arrested they’re let right back out.

Policing is a reactive and not proactive practice, so I don’t agree with increasing their presence (unless it is a targeted task force). The federal VIPER task force has been shown to decrease violent crimes in many cities, so I would recommend bringing in federal and state law enforcement to help stem this issue. Aside from that, the community must protect themselves by any means necessary.
