Since the focus is on Chicago then let's say this; most people in the hood in Chicago are not in gangs. They are just caught in the middle of the shyt and they can not get away. Those people are not causing chaos. They are just regular people who woke up one day and their neighborhood was just infested by gangs. Regular people in those hoods are not bussing caps; it is gang members doing that shyt.That is the shyt that nobody ever seems to mention when talking about Chicago. The vast majority of people doing the shyt in Chicago are the gangs. I know this because I grew up there and lived there for over 40 years. I grew up right there seeing it. I didn't read it in any book.

i've been telling people this same thing for awhile

Socio-economic arguments don't make sense for the violence going on in Chicago and other places. It is not like these gang members are saying "since I can't find a job; I am going to shoot up the neighborhood." That ain't how that shyt breaks down. Gang members ain't trying to go to no job. They ain't their thing. Your socio-economic argument might make sense for normal guys and why they might enter into violence, but gang members throwing lead in the hood are far from being the normal guy in the hood. That is my 2 cents.

socio economics is a science that be applied to any city, state or country breh. chicago which is among the most segregated, wealth gap heavy cities in the US. It's a no brainer breh that the more dangerous communities in the Chi are the poorer ones , that ties DIRECTLY into socio economics. Fact is, kids are out in the street getting mixed up in the wrong shyt. Look at this list, you notice the higher ranking ones are the poorest communities in Chicago? Hell, Chicago's public schools might not even open this fall, that's going to be a recipe for complete disaster at the end of the year if true. One thing about impoverished communities is that there is far more idleness, and everyone knows that's the devils work. and some Gang members ARE trynna find jobs, I've worked with enough gang members here in Madison, and know enough people back in the Chi to know this breh. The nikka killed in this video worked at Mcdonalds, and is a gang member himself. There different types of bangers, there's just regular members, in it for the family and company only i guess, people pushing weight, hitters(the ones out killing people) and people who are a combination of 2 or all.

Fact is, you can either blame people on an individual level, or get the community fixed back up. Which one is gonna obviously work better breh ?

Problem is people are so quick to shoot a person, and not settle it with the hands.

Sad thing is, think of all the people all of us have lost in these streets. From deaths to people going to jail.

I lost my best friend last year, and he was killed by someone so close to us over some bs that could have been settled differently..

Breh i know damn well the population was higher, but fact is the crime index was TWICE as high as it is today. Meaning back then overrall crime rate was relatively twice as high as today regardless of population.

the fact that chicago stayed around 4 million during the 70's and is barely staying above 2.5 in the 2010's is going to effect statistical data when you do comparisons.
