I feel like that would be most parents stances instead of calling the police to identify an unknown assailant as your child. Just kick them out, cut them off and pray they get right before the streets get him. If they ever show signs of changing, support them.

Naw he ruined his own life. I just don’t think she she needed to assist in it. I look at it like the Boston George situation. His mother turned him in to the police when he came to tell his parents he got married.
She didn’t snitch on him because it was the right thing to do or because she was concerned for his life if she didnt. She did it because she said she was embarrassed to go to church and by the looks neighbors were giving her. That ain’t the reason to do it. People just like to act more virtuous than they really are.
As far as this mom, I dunno why. I’m not turning my kid in for shyt though. I’m fully capable of cutting his ass out my life until he needs help though.
