This is exactly what THEY want. Close down school, deny us from schools, suspend us from schools and make us stay in the hood. For a bow tie my nikka? They don't have a room to keep spares considering the chance that students might forget? These stories are fukked up man. I feel for kids in chicago and most of America has no idea about these type of stories because they don't want it to be known.

Your popping shyt to me and mad at the school. A person you'll never meet and an institution that wont fight back.

So not only are you stupid, you have no balls to confront THE ONLY MOTHERfukkER WHO COMMITTED A CRIME IN THIS SCENARIO, THE KILLER.

So build and enact policy AROUND THE GANG BANGING?

IS THAT WHAT YOU SUGGEST?

Because that sounds like negotiating/appeasing terrorists to me.

Don't get rid of the gang bangers, make rules that accomodate and take them into consideration.

Wow.

Stop it, you sound ludicrous.

Even the most upper echelon, stringent schools in the safest cities would never ask a child to walk home for not having the right apparel due to safety reasons.
Its irresponsible to ask a child to walk home. You wait until the child's parent is there to take them home

I had situations where my parents couldn't come so the teachers took me home.

Stop being silly

I don't excuse the school for sending him home without a ride. I couldnt discharge a patient like that and then they go missing. That's my ass if do. Teachers have a similar level of responsibility.

This.

Yeah you're not coming in class today because rules are rules BUT

you park your butt in that chair/couch etc until your parents that we called to come get you arrive.

These are kids we're talking about not some damn re-directed packages from UPS or some shyt.

The blame is ultimately on the one who shot him. But being an administrator in that kind of enviornment, sending kids home would be a last resort. There are things like in school suspension, points, demetites, taking things away plenty of ways to inforce oolicy. I never think you should send a child home for something like a dress code violation.

This is so sad.

This is the point I'm gonna leave you with.

Victims of domestic abuse blame everyone/everything but the abuser himself. "Oh it's his job stressing him out, oh he was just drunk"...

The school....did not kill this young man.

A MURDERER did.

Now...today more kids will be killed in Chicago...And tomorrow and the day after and so on and so on...it's likely to never stop.

With all that killing that has happened and will continue to happen, WHEN IN THE fukk ARE YOU GOING TO MAN UP AND PLACE THE BLAME WHERE IT BELONGS? ON the killers themselves. And until you do that...they know they can do whatever they want in your neighborhood because YOU FEAR THEM.

You're not afraid to mass protest the school...you're not afraid to mass protest a police station...but WHEN you gonna mass protest the GD'S? MASS PROTEST THIS GANG/THAT GANG? The citizens of the southside of Chicago know who are making all these bodies drop...but they are too chicken shyt to do anything about it.

So when that same fear spreads to your city, you know what else is coming with it. Dead body after dead body after dead body.

School didn't have any spare bow ties :dahell:

Yea teach him a lesson by making him walk home through gangland.

Teacher needs to be fired, school needs to be sued if that's in their policy. If not civil suit on teacher and fired. Wages garnished forever

RIP to the breh but people acting like he was a third grader.

He was 18 :dahell:

He wasn't some elementary student or something like that. People keep saying child this or child that. He was an adult, it's rare I ever saw a student during high school leave with a parent at 17/18, especially in Texas

Was a crossing guard supposed to escort him across that street or something :dwillhuh:

Like grown ass men haven't been sent homes from jobs, schools, places for uniform violations before. It's schools sitting in hoods and rough areas all over the country, Chicago aint no different than no where else

Like high schools don't have dress codes now. C'mon now, dont put this on the school. Who's to say those same dudes in that car dont just catch him outside after school and murk him then in the same way

Im sure the school feels fukked up over it but its not like they knew or expected some b*stard to kill him when he left.

Instead of outrage towards the school, I hope that's directed towards these killers and getting them off the street

My Pops Forever RIP
Some of ya'll trippin hard as fukk.

What kind of school would ask a kid to WALK home in a dangerous city for not wearing a bowtie?:dahell:

Of course the blame lies with the murderer, but you have to use common sense if you are the school. There is a point where common sense > policy.

And I see that there are many posters in this thread have very little common sense :skip:
I went to high school in the poorest congressional district on the country.

They didn't fukk around with the dress code. They'd send you home too even if you were considered a mark or an easy target if you were walking the streets with their uniforms. Kids would just leave their sweaters in their lockers so they couldn't get sent home. That was common sense. They didn't do ISS even if the streets were hot like that. Schools have that structure for a reason. It just sucks that the kid had to die, but you can either enforce your rules or go over the top with "common sense" because ultimately those kids will be outside at a moment where you can't save them

Motherfukkers are gonna blame the school for enforcing a policy rather than the scumbags who actually murdered him

Horrible policy. You can't tell me that they don't have any emergency bow ties in the front office. I keep five belts in my classroom just in case one of my students forgets theirs. It happens from time to time. I'll be damned if somebody misses a day of class over a stupid belt. So now a kid loses a day of learning over a tie? They don't have in school suspension?

This is like when they sent Emilio home in Dangerous Minds for not knocking on the door and he got killed :mjcry:

The principal that movie is based on (Louanne Johnson) hates that movie so much that when ABC sent her checks for the TV show (that she also hates), she sent them back. She said that that scene never happened, and that the boy that character is based on is a Marine with a family. She also said that the kids never called her White Bread and that about 1/3rd of them were white. (I did my final project for my MS on how Hollywood molds the opinions of teaching in America.)
