I was just talking to this woman I work with whose son goes to that school. She said her son said that the bow tie thing wasn't the only reason he got sent home. They said he smelled like weed too.

My kids get ISS (in school suspension) if they show up in violation of the dress code. No child should ever be turned away without being released to a parent.

my oldest goes to private school so she gotta weigh a uniform. my youngest goes to one of the public schools on this list and her school is one of the few that doesn't require uniforms. but they are EXTREMELY strict about what you can wear. for instance no leggings, no shorts, no open toe sandals, and certain hairstyles are not allowed. I saw them send a kid home cuz she had her hair in some kinda ratchet braids that they were against the dress code. the mom was PISSED to say the least cuz she just paid for that hairstyle.

A parent did come to pick the child up, it was 2 boys being sent home. The mother of the other child came to pick them up and was walking them home

I used to work a job where I had to wear a tuxedo everyday. If you left your bowtie they either gave you a replacement or you worked without one and got a write up. You never got sent home cus that would be goofy. But apparently breh also smelled like weed so.

The behavioral principal that sent him home is on my facebook and cus I got fam n friends in that area. And breh is absolutely crushed that this happened, recorded two videos with tears streaming down his face. Even he acknowledged his role in the what happened, tho of course not putting it all on himself. It's called personal responsibility, kinda lost on alotta nikkas here.
