Fans that think that another coach can replicate what Andy Reid has built with the Chiefs is in for a rude awakening.
Y’all are about to see how good modern day Andy is without 15 backpacking this franchise like he’s been doing the last 2-3 years.

Goatganda the pearl of Africa
A big part of Mahomes game is using his legs. He is well into his 30s and now will be coming off a major injury and rehab.

I’m not confident that as he ages, that he keeps up his level of play (which has deteriorated somewhat). I can see Russell Wilson like fall off.

If he retires today, he’s a lock 1st ballot HOFer.

Well into?

Nikka is just 30

He shoulbe able to come back from this and still be effective. But the Chiefs need to tighten up that offensive line once and for all and get him a couple of weapons. Its' past time for them to truly address both of those things.

Its symbolic that carrying this offense finally took a physical toll on dude. Its actually a good thing. Cant just point to Patrick now. Everybody else gotta hold they nuts.

The team that went to all those SBs was done as we knew it. So maybe this will force everybody to acknowledge this look to pivot and move into the next iteration. As ass as they were with Pat they could fukk round get a top 10 pick with him out.

I dont think he is missing next season. ACL aint what it used to be. I doubt they will rush him back but dont think they would need to.

They thought that they did address the weapons..Rice(who is good), Worthy.and Brown were supposed to be a great trio. Rice is good, Brown is iffy and the verdict is still out on Xavier

Talking about getting rid of Andy Reid after getting to the Superbowl 5 out of 6 years is Leon levels of nutso
I'm not in the fire Andy camp but he has to be willing to bring new voices on to the coaching staff and it's time for him to give up on being the offensive playcalling. The offense going on three years now has be stale and struggling. The team has been sloppy with penalties. They need a new WR coach. The playcalling is really predictable and has no identity. I think players still play hard for him.

The offensive line was actually pretty damn good until injuries hit. Outside of Jawaan Taylor and his penalties they were set in the other four spots. And Jaylon Moore has shown he's a damn good spot starter when someone is out.

Rice is good and has outplayed his draft position but he aint a number 1 (on or off the field). Everybody drops passes here and there but it is interesting that the same guy that was complaining in the SB as a rookie about not getting that look, had 2 huge drops in key moments this year. But again he is a fine WR, just not THE guy.

There is a reason Brown was available to them for the relative cheap. I like Worthy and I see the appeal but he is also emblematic of the problem. Reid loves small, fast WR. He seems to hate bigger, more physical, catch radius type WR. Thats all good when shyt is running smoothly but it aint so good when they little ass can get knocked out for weeks after running into a teammate. All that to say, if the priority was WR, they shoulda been looking for a bigger, jump ball winner type. Keep everything the same, and imagine Mahomes with a guy he csn just say "fukk it" and throw it up to.

Agreed on everything. They need a true No.1 WR, with size and catch radius, but those Andre Johnson, Julio Jones types, dont grow on trees. They better hope Dallas doesnt wanna pay Pickens. So Rice can play as the no.2 WR that he is. They can sign Breece Hall as a FA which would resolve their RB problem, too.

In retrospect, winning a SB after being near the top of the league in drops and penalties was the beginning of the end. I think they make bigger changes going into last year if that year ended how it looked like it should. Then they go undefeated all that time and only lose one game that they were trying in and get back to the SB. And I honestly think they beat any other NFC team. But still, even with an L, you can easily convince yourself they just need subtle changes around the margins. This year, they finally stopped pulling Ws out they ass and the rest of the conference caught up. Now all those cracks that have been there are being exposed.

I doubt they can afford Pickens and while he would be perfect in terms of his ability is he really dependable mentally? You are right in that those types dont grow on trees but neither do Tyreeks. Yet thats what they went for. I know he had struggles and injuries this year and it woulda cost more but imagine this team with Brian Thomas.

RB dont mean shyt if Andy aint gonna run the ball. Unbelievable that they wouldn't give up a 3rd for Breece. As I said, at the time if Breece Hall was available in rd 3 next year, you would run to the podium with that pick.

Yeah that's definitely a big problem. Especially since so many teams seemed to man up the Chiefs on big plays and they had nobody that was really a man beater like that. Hell that lead to Mahomes throwing a pick to Kareem Hunt who showed that even though he was a woman beater he's no man beater. I'm booing myself for the bad joke.
