Are y'all going to continue to collectively ignore that rent, utilities, food, clothing etc... works both ways? It's not just the mother that has to deal with increased cost of those things due to the child.

Why should the father be tasked with covering those increased cost for both households.

I'll say most females want custody but then don't want to bear the responsibility that comes with it.

The increased costs mainly goes to the custodial parent...that child support helps bridge the gap between a child living with a single parent and one in a household where both bringing in income

Edit: and the noncustodial parent does have some financial responsibility to help care for the child that's half theirs...providing a home lights transportation etc are a part of that cost
