remember your free lunch code? 1789 here lmaoBeing poor as a youth bothered the hell out of me. I had the whole shebang: lots of nights with no hot water, no snacks, always on the free lunch program and having the white, well-off kids laugh at me and shyt within earshot, food banks every Sunday, roaches all in the crib, etc.
What made it worse is that my city was right next to a major army base, so the kids of those soldiers were relatively cozy while I was a fukking serf in comparison.
I'll never forget my first day of summer school following my 11th grade year when this rich, mixed girl whipped out of the parking lot in her dad's Maserati with the top down. I deadass cried, knowing that it'd be years for me to get to that level, if ever.
I held a lot of resentment towards my parents for years.
had to pay for that
Aka shut up and dribble......
Again, for the brehs and Brehettes coming up from poverty, I truly feel for you and I personally given back by monetary funds as well as building houses in work missions, just don't berate innocent black folks that had it slightly easier than you.

Oh definitely. We always had clothes to wear, and 95% of the time, we had SOMETHING to eat. I've seen them in tears just to trying make ends meet. Now, I'm trying to make enough money so that they don't have to worry about that anymore. It's the least I could do for being a little shythead
nah bro moms said can't nobody ride my bike

Although I don’t like to romanticize the struggle, it does make us more resilient in the long term. And thus gives us a mental strength advantage. Also, it makes me realize how entitled these crackers at work are. They fold under pressure more quickly.
