That is not true. My aunt worked for Motown so she was there for all of B2M albums there. B2M and Face are very close and Face has worked on damn near every B2M project. Check the album credits. Their beef was with Motown not Face. If Face dont fukk with you, trust he dont fukk with u at all. If he stopped fukking with them after End of the road and I'll make love to you then why did he write and produce "A Song For Mama" for B2M for the soul food soundtrack in 97.
From what shawn talked about the biggest things was health issues with 2 members and they got reassigned to another label which was a messed with the label having no idea how to work with them

This is interesting. They had plenty of success still after End Of The Road. I’m thinking this tour that Chili is talking about must’ve happened in 1997. Couldn’t have been around End Of The Road given the “water didn’t run dry” on their success til like late 90s.

TLC didnt know their own role when it comes to their own business. Why would B2M leave Babyface, he wasn't Suge Knighting anyone and actually admitted when artist had unfair deals he was involved in.
If B2M was signed to LaFace maybe this would make sense, but they never were.

They clearly didn't like that. Great interview with Boyz 2 Men and New Edition on The Breakfast Club by the way. They didn't even really get into it but just watching that interview and them briefly discussing their contract and Nate issues with Biv, you can tell they just didn't want to get taken advantage of once they got power over their careers (which probably caused them to want to write their own records).
