you know what's interesting, the powers that be have literally trillions of dollars worth of incentive to destroy the family structure with working husband and stay at home wife

so much more profitable to have the woman/single momma in 1 mortgage/rent and man in another house paying another separate mortgage/rent. double the money. then more economic growth to squeeze out from more workers, squeeze em both for more tax/rent money. not to mention billions for big pharma to sell happiness pills to all these lonely/stressed/overworked people. more people getting into student loan debt paying the banks trillions in interest.

the only thing that doesn't benefit the powers that be about the single/individualistic/consumerist life is lower population growth, but that's not really a short/medium term concern since there's plenty of immigration demand to solve that.

100%. Families have much more predictable spending patterns so there's less you can sell them. The parents will generally spend most of their money raising the kids and will have less money to spend on frivolities in the same way a single person does. More single people, more wants you can sell them vs needs. And you can tax them at a higher clip as well.

shyt can be extreme situations with some of these docs. So some times you have to take this stuff with a grain of salt. Overall in china it is looked down on for men (which folks love to overlook, but that ain'tgl gonna get bo reaction online) and women to not get married and have children (or not perform well in school).

I use to work in shanghai and suzhou with kats local kats who parents stayed on their asses about getting married and having some kids.

Also some of the heats comes from the parents because in those countries the social norm is to stay at home till you get married. So some of these parents want the kids to get married so they can get out the house. Plus in china (and many asian countries) the daughter gets married and then is responsible for helping the family she marries into and the inlaws come first before her family. Thats also why there is even more pressure on the men to get married because the families view is he must get married to bring an extra member to the family where as a daughter gets married it reduces the number of members in the family (in terms of helping the family).

Add to the fact that chinese parents are very demanding on their kids, are constantly involved and do no believe in playing the background once their kids become adults. And that many have one child (two at the most in big cities though the rural area they are more likely to have more kids) so a child is expected to be the families everything.

Well said I am glad you said this. I have been saying a long time that its in corporations best interest to have more single folks than married people. Also overall married people are normally more responsible with their money and have more in savings and investments. I know myself as a married person. Most the married folks I know don't blow as much money on frivolous things as the single folks I know.

I also believe the powers that be would like to target young people/kids....with adult things as well. Its helps them grow up fast and become major consumers. Think of all the little kids walking around with $600 to $1,000 phones and expensive shoes in the 4th grade. This shyt would not have been acceptable decades ago.

Side note if you know Geopolitics this is one of the main issues the western world and the arab world has always had. The western world always looked at the arab world (ever since the discovery of oil) in terms of frivilous bull shyt they could sell to them. Where as the conservative parts of the arab world looked at invading their land to sell them shyt and impose their western views of the world on them.

This is actually a keen observation. My little niece is 8 years old with a $600 iPad. My younger cousin is 13 with an iPhone 11. Kids don't do "toys" anymore.

well successful by her own accord. if whatever she does doesnt stress her out too bad & has her financially comfortable then shes successful imo.

in chinese culture though this kind of living for a single adult woman is probably shyt on horribly so i can see why she might feel a way about it there.
