:merchant: that whole mini-doc was wild. Those women might as well just come over to America. But then they'd be competing against white women and things could get ugly......:manny:

That woman's Tinder would be jumping as soon as she hits the ground in any major city here.

Plenty of dudes would cuff her up with the quickness.

Also just noticed that her dress look like the In Living Color font.

Nah fam, in this case it's the dudes. She's a lawyer with her own money, doesn't succumb to pressure easily and you got them cornball ass nikkas in China expecting to eat in the dating game simply cuz that's how it's supposed to be. That dude she went with on date was lame. A lot of their culture is lame AF just expecting bytches to submit just cuz her mama did it. Nikkas is lame over there and have no interest in stepping they shyt up.
Gotta disagree Bout it only being the guys breh. China is basically the size of America and for the most part has twice the the entire population of America just in Men. She is in her mid Thirties (per the mini doc and a little research), a lawyer so has the ability to travel (you heard about her rural ass town and even saw it a bit).

People being swayed based off the few lames the documentary showed us, because, it's trying to convey their point. Again, them dudes they showed were total garbage but you hear about Chinese millionaires and billionaires all the time, not all them nikkas sorry. Just like with here, people pursue their careers and stack money, then want to start a family later, but it ain't always that easy when you get older.

Lived in Japan for a few years and travelled around Asia and all them countries have that 27 + stigma. It ain't new. She knew it, still did her thing and now she suffering for not tying the knot early? Maybe she tried but couldn't find who she wanted. Dunno but I find it crazy to believe she and others should be absolved of any blame:yeshrug: My two cents

  • Her soul was snatched when ANOTHER woman gave it to her straight.
  • The shame her own sisters face and resentment of her own father as a disappointment.
  • The epiphany when the guy she wanted to match wanted a submissive wife.
How does a leftover woman opt out when she ain't desired ?:laff::laff::laff:

There's a difference between leftover women and those who divorce on their own terms.

One actually got married - the other can't.

Your asian man need to teach you more about Chinese culture.
So true. I figured she would know more about that than anyone here though.

I feel bad for her. It must be tough getting older as a woman and having to live in a culture where your value is only determined by if you have a man and are married.....

It’s funny though because I’ve seen multiple posts on this forum who look down on women in their 30’s that are still single.

Even though the way it’s presented may vary in each country that mindset about women doesn’t seem to change

These are the chicks who say hell to this and move to places like Vancouver. Less stress, better money and no hassle.

So many Paags I know get that family pressure every event as to why they arent in a serious relationship.

Once they hit 30 it goes into overdrive.

Lol@some just not getting it. These dudes and society shyt on women as if things are how they've always been and ignore the reality. I know some are happy because HOH, but that's the mentality that has caused these situations in India, Iran and China. My stats professor from great school was talking about this ten years ago.

This woman had to travel into the Chinese bush to visit her family. She worked her way out of poverty, and doing well in the city, but these folks consider her a failure because she's not in a miserable relationship with a man.

The sister literally said, "yeah marriage sucks, but what option do you have? Whose going to take care of you?"

She should've hit her back, "I can take care of myself, and I'll be taking care of you and your kids when ol boy leave your miserable ass "

It's wild how damn near all married folks are unhappy but are the first to encourage others to tie the knot. Ol misery loves company ass... If anything you should be telling folks to run for the hills.

They have that stigma cuz they fetishize youth.
It's not a coincidence that Asia has so much infamy in regards to underage porn.

They idolize youth because the reality of adulthood over there SUCKS.

I think people also need to step back and look at society from a building block standpoint.

The basic unit within most societies is the nuclear family (husband, wife and kids). When the nuclear family model is under strain, then society as a whole can crumble. Japan has an aging and declining population. European women are having less kids and the in some places the birth rate is below the replacement rate (the number of children a couple needs to have to replace themselves ~2.2).

As liberal individualism spreads, then so too does the risk that society will run in to a demographic issue.

EDIT: I'm never a big fan of these kind of "documentaries" they often lack context and are thinly veiled propaganda tools.
