Because the united states Debt is in chinese hands plus we buy more than we produce if China REALLY puts the screws to us economically besides this trade war and start raising prices of ALL electronics sold here american consumers are screwed... also the united states political standing in the world is in the shytter literally... We have no allies except the british and maybe Australia and japan but that's it...:what: america is not respected anymore globally and the shyt trump is doing have consequences...:francis: but hey it's not gonna hurt us...:mjgrin: just cripple our economy...:mjlol:

I've been hearing the "China is done" mantra since the early 90's. I'm not convinced. To me, if nothing change, China is going to b the number one economic power in a few years, that's the reason the US launched the trade war.

Nah. Trump is the only candidate who can in 2016 who was promising this. Everyone else knew better. If Rubio, Jeb, Hillary, etc were president we wouldn't be doing this. It's regressive, stupid policy that the US cannot win.

The alternative was clear. TPP was designed specifically to carve Asian markets that would benefit us. Instead Trump shytcanned the plan...now Canada and others are feasting. It's just stupid shyt man.

The trade war is just a mean, and it's true that the entire US establishment did not agree with that mean. However, the idea that China needs to be stopped at this point is shared by the entire establishment. There is a reason why Trump is way more attacked for the Russia thing than his agressive behavior on China.

And it doesn't matter who's in charge, China is not Japan : slowing them down, if it's still possible, will come with a cost.
