In theory, wouldn't this help American grown manufacturing companies and lower the price of products sold?

That's what the Chinese did to Mexico. I am from Canada. After companies in Canada moved to Mexico because of Nafta, in the 1990s. Along came China and just crushed all that shyt. Just cheaper to produce and more efficiently educated workforce. It's the endgame for America in this trade war. They can't win!

Profits on publicly traded companies are tied to wall street expectations & it's cheaper to produce stuff in asia right now so that these companies can pay the ceo 30 million a year plus stock options . It's system of capitalism created to keep the rich on top .

The last time we had a chance to wage a battle like this was in the 50s. Economies are too globally entreanched now. A trade war is a losing battle on many many fronts with impacts to be felt miles down the road. Talking about bu bu bu but we not getting a fair deal from china. We are actually getting a good deal all things considered. Trump is the guy $50000 in losses at the blackjack table. fukk a potential Iran war(unlikely). This is the kind of thing that should really scare people.

And you have all these clowns shouting buy American! Wages haven't kept up with inflation. Average American needs foreign products at the lower price to maintain. Sad but true!

Start a trade war with an autocratic regime that doesn't have to worry about elections or unrest, brehs.
:mjlol:

DOW down 600 at closing lmao. Tomorrow won't be much better. Remember...republicans got decimated in the midwest during the 2018 midterms. Wiped out in Wisconsin, where Harley Davidson and various other manufacturers and SUPPLIERS are getting hit hard. Or in Iowa where farmers are getting destroyed. China bought a large order of soybeans as a sign of "good faith" a few months ago...and Trump paraded around like he was winning. Now they aren't buying jack shyt.

A lot of these dudes will die on that hill believing Trump will "get a deal" lmao. But...there are more practical white people in those states who are thinking with their wallet. They aren't gonna cosign 4 more years of this. And that's Trump's biggest weakness, because if the midwest goes back blue it's impossible for him to win.
Midterms results don't bode well for a trump reelection. The 'he'll be reelected' crowd pretends midterms didn't even happen.:mjlol:

I've been hearing the "China is done" mantra since the early 90's. I'm not convinced. To me, if nothing change, China is going to b the number one economic power in a few years, that's the reason the US launched the trade war.
We'll be done before China will. They've been on track for the no. 1 spot for some time. All that low cost Made In China stuff we have here? Folks blame manufacturers moving jobs but if we focused on keeping a living wage in this country they never would have gained a foothold.

We have states where an abortion bill passes at the snap of a finger but the minimum wage is less than 9 an hour. And it's a damn fight to have it raised. Meanwhile folks can charge whatever they want for rent and 9 an hour isn't enough to secure a mortgage. Greedy shyt like that is why I laugh at anyone trying to blame illegals or china for any of our woes. Country decided to let rampant greed rule the day. What other outcome could there have been?

Truth be told, China is a global problem that has to be met collectively or we are all fukked.
The everyman for himself notion does not apply to a giant bully like China.

China is attacking weaknesses in Governance everywhere from Asia, Africa, Europe, Middle East and now America.
It does not help that Trump is bleeding idiot that fails to listen to sound advice, and just like the shutdown you are the one eventually suffering as he experiments with the economy.

Yep. Anyone arguing Chine goes before the usa, is either trying to sell bs or is delusional.

And no there really wasn't any other outcome..:wow:

Always said Greed is a god in America's Pantheon.
