birds and cattle are very expressive breh. Have you ever spent time near a goat? Horses (an animal that also gets eaten widely) are super expressive too

and Octopuses show way higher intelligence than dogs. People eat them all the time.

Yea I've spent time around goats n horses. It's no comparison. Sure other animals show some expression, but they are nowhere near as expressive as dogs.

They say pigs have just as much personality as dogs tho but no one stops eating pork because of it.
Standard-Examiner : A pig tale: Animals are smart and affectionate, and each one has its own personality

There are more articles out there, but I'm on my phone. I'm not saying we should be eating dogs regularly, but I also don't think they're too far from from any other domesticated animal.

Just cuz they're intelligent and have a personality, doesn't mean they're as expressive as dogs. Every dumbass animal has a "personality." But Dogs are the only animal to use so many facial expressions to conveigh emotion.

Dogs will form an emotional bond and communicate back and forth through emotion. If u die a dog will mourn for u, a pig won't even care.

Other than facial expressions, everything you said about dogs goes for pigs.

Dogs show emotion more than any other animal. You can't tell when a cow or chicken is sad/happy/etc. Dogs are the only animal that show every emotion humans do. I'd say that's unique.

Obviously u haven't. Everybody in Jamaica has a dog. Dog ownership in Africa is common if ur not poor as fukk. Same with south America and Asia, people in Japan pay over a million $ for a certain dog. Hell even ancient Egyptians had pet dogs.

But no, it's a white phenomena :comeon:

because they show emotion they are above being food.

that is fukked up so because a chicken can not show emotions because their facial structure does not allow us see the emotions they express then it is ok to eat them?

humans
Not my cup of tea but I don't see a problem with it. It's a cultural thing.

I'm much more opposed to hunting Dolphins for meat or certain primates and Octopi due to their intelligence levels, especially Dolphins.

I don't think a Dolphin even belongs in theme park/ aquarium for entertainment.

Humans have a unique relationship with Canines that has formed out of evolution over the course of thousands of years. Its not the same as any other animal.

can you point to the books or the studies you received this information from? Im not outright disagreeing, but im curious as to why a "unqiue" relationship with dogs should stop us from eating them if we choose/need

Dog Meat was widely consumed in Europe too...

France[edit]

Grande Boucherie Canine, Paris, 1910

Although consumption of dog meat is not common in France, and is now considered taboo, dog meat has been consumed in the past. The earliest evidence of dog consumption in France was found at Gaulish archaeological sites, where butchered dog bones were discovered.[121] Similar findings, corresponding to that time or earlier periods, have also been recorded through Europe. French news sources from the late 19th century carried stories reporting lines of people buying dog meat, which was described as being "beautiful and light."[122] During the Siege of Paris (1870–1871), there were lines at butcher's shops of people waiting to purchase dog meat. Dog meat was also reported as being sold by some butchers in Paris, 1910.[

Germany[edit]

Dog meat has been eaten in every major German crisis at least since the time of Frederick the Great, and is commonly referred to as "blockade mutton".[7] In the early 20th century, high meat prices led to widespread consumption of horse and dog meat in Germany.[125][126][127]

The consumption of dog meat continued in the 1920s.[128][129] In 1937, a meat inspection law targeted against trichinella was introduced for pigs, dogs, boars, foxes, badgers, and other carnivores.[130] Dog meat has been prohibited in Germany since 1986

Switzerland[edit]

Swiss recipes for dog meat include gedörrtes Hundefleisch served as paper-thin slices, as well as smoked dog ham, Hundeschinken, which is prepared by salting and drying raw dog meat.[135]

According to the 21 November 1996 edition of the Rheintaler Bote, a Swiss newspaper covering the Rhine Valley area, the rural Swiss cantons of Appenzell and St. Gallen are known to have had a tradition of eating dogs, curing dog meat into jerky and sausages, as well as using the lard for medicinal purposes. Dog sausage and smoked dog jerky remains a staple in the Swiss cantons of St. Gallen and Appenzell, where one farmer was quoted in a regional weekly newspaper as saying that "meat from dogs is the healthiest of all. It has shorter fibres than cow meat, has no hormones like veal, no antibiotics like pork

^^^A photo I took when I was over there. Just wanted to make sure people knew I wasn't bsing when I say what I am about to say. All these people talking about "healthy dog meat" or "meat is meat" don't know what they're talkin' about. I got dared in Vietnam with dog meat, sh*t damn near made my stomach turn inside out. I had to down it with a glass of straight vodka. When I was in DR, a Haitian cat got 10 years for murkin' a Dominican cat who served him dog meat under the pretense it was goat. The taste is unmistakable and :gag: The only exotic meat that tastes good IMHO is bird meat (e.g. pheasant/dove) , rabbit, and turtle meat. Venison, snake, dog, monkey, snail, etc. is all :gag: IMHO. If it has paws or slithers, stay the f*ck away.

Lets be real here, you've never even tried to establish a relationship with a cow. How the fukk would you know? :childplease:

Let's b honest, do I give a fukk? :heh:

Cows are stupid, I've spent time with goats which aren't much smarter, and horses which people consider to be very smart. And they're still dumb wild animals compared to dogs. Horses are considered smarter than all these animals, so if I think u can't form a relationship with them like a dog, u mos def can't with cows breh. I didn't say u can't at all, just that it's a limited relationship, it's nowhere near a dog.

Nothing bonds with a human like a dog.

because they show emotion they are above being food.

that is fukked up so because a chicken can not show emotions because their facial structure does not allow us see the emotions they express then it is ok to eat them?

chickens are retarded, they barely know wuts going on around them. Their intelligence is instinct rather than thought.

A dog can lay there and contemplate a situation, form a strategy, and communicate with u. They read your emotions and will come try to help u when YOU'RE sad, wut other animal will do that?

I never said don't eat them. Cuz i'm not gonna tell an other culture wut to do and if u need food any animal is good (in China most people don't eat dog anyway, and it's rare for those that do) I just think they're unique animals.

Exactly. This is all you really needed to post. You don't give a fukk about farm animals, hence your perspective on dogs is meaningless. Go spend a few years raising a cow from birth, acting as its mother and showering it with affection, then you can speak on what they are and are not capable of.
