is that a flattop?
I'm rolling at this dead guy's page literally saying he was
Well his blood clots are gone. The issue is he’s prone to getting them. As a result, it just makes no sense to want to continue a career in basketball at this point.
It’s silly. He should be fortunate this incident didn’t happen while he was in college or early in his NBA career. He got a chance to make great money. He should look into an analyst or coaching role if he wants to be around the game that much.
I don't get why he had to retire in the first place and everyone keeps saying he can't come back, why would blood clots mean you can't play basketball? Clots form from lack of circulation in the blood they always tell people with clots to move around and exercise so playing basketball would keep his clots away it wouldn't make him clot up more.
the plane rides is what makes it dangerousClicked on his Wikipedia page and they had this pic of him -

On a thread talking about Bosh wanting to play with LeBron too.
Ya'all idiots.
Bosh was hardly ever in the corner when he played with the Heat, and shot far more threes AFTER LeBron left then while he was there.
If I remember correctly this blood clot issue just randomly appeared late in his careerthe plane rides is what makes it dangerous
BasicallyLeBron has a spot in the corner ready for him.
I don't know but blood clots happen a lot after long flights, that's what happened to heavy D, he had some blood clots after a long flight. If his blood is thicker now he should avoid flying so much.If I remember correctly this blood clot issue just randomly appeared late in his career
Did he have issues early on or in college?

Okay I get the plane thing is why he can't play cause he would have to travel but in general playing professional sports on blood thinners shouldn't be a problem for people, only reason I can think of is if they would start bleeding but unless it's a serious gash causing them to bleed a ton it wouldn't be something that couldn't be stopped. It's sounding like y'all are saying people on blood thinners can't even play ball at the court in a pickup game with friends.Chris Bosh has had two separate events of having blood clots. As a result, he has to take blood thinners the rest of his life. You can not play professional sports on blood thinners.
Serena Williams had a blood clot episode, but it was an isolated event. Chris had a reoccurring event. Once that happens, a doctor will look into lifetime treatment.
Obviously I am not his doctor, but I would suspect he has Factor V Leiden, which would make one susceptible to blood clots.
I know I read somewhere that they were thinking of a solution where they would "time" his medication. Basically the blood thinners would be out of his system during practices/games, and then he would resume taking them once it's over. Depending on the type of blood thinner you take, they are only effective so many hours, until you take your next pill. It definitely seems logical and makes sense, as one is most likely to clot while being stationary or traveling. However, why even risk it?
