Usher, Bobby Brown Spread The Love
http://edition.cnn.com/2002/SHOWBIZ/Music/08/29/mroom.usher/index.html

Usher: Well it's not hard to do if you've been doing it since you're about 11. I've been doing it all my life. And just following the great examples of entertainers who paved the way for me -- Michael Jackson, Bobby Brown -- it was pretty easy to follow their example, their blueprint, only to create something for myself at such a young age.

Some of y'all nikkas are just old. Chris has a more substantial catalogue which works well in this type of environment. We all can argue about what will last, better albums, who dances better, etc. This isn't about who's the better artist, Usher imo, but who can put together a better and more cohesive 20, which CB can easily pull from just this last decade. I personally don't like the matchup since CB's leans more into that pop lane thus his songs being a lot more uptempo than Usher's.

Cb loses heavy. This battles don’t lean towards the new at all. it leans towards classics. shyt same way johnta beat neyo.

shyt snoop didn’t play anything past 03 damn near and he has hits pass that.

Usher songs are better and are loved more. Chris has tons of throwaways :dead:

I’m sure they all was influenced by micheal and Bobby ect. But Chris as a solo artist was not following solo Bobby career. He was in the mold of a solo usher. He switched to baby boy like Bobby and hasn’t been as successful. Before rih rih shyt he had a clean cut image

Play cute if you choose but it’s beeb a popular belief that Chris has become stagnant the past 5 years and is seemingly making the same song over & over again. These are Twitter generation critiques that you’ll probably familiar with if you play the social media game. So I ask...if Chris didn’t maximize his prime then how is that music he puts out supposed to go against Usher’s bonafied shyt?

This sir is true. The bad boy image indeed came after Rihanna. All I’m saying is the modern template of the singing hip hop influenced dancing rapping is Bobby. Michael precedes all of them as James Brown does him but since neither of them grew up in the hip hop generation it’s difficult to draw back direct lineage.

Exactly what i was thinking word for word. These old nikkas are in their feelings. Breezy will win.

I think he loses as well, but not heavy. I could see a 11-9 loss. And I'm not arguing the fact that Ursh's songs aren't loved more. I just think that the crowd CB brings is going to feel "Forever" more than "My Way". Verzuz hasn't leaned into newer songs because they haven't had any acts that are still active the way that CB is.

If you weren’t outside when usher was at his peak then I can’t take your opinion seriously, im sorry.

And that's fine and well. The fact is 80% of "verzuz" audience wasn't outside when usher was at his peak either.

People also aren't recognizing that all the verzuz so far haven't had anyone making MODERN hits.

Breezy has them though.

So yea Usher will win the rounds when he plays Confessions,U remind Me, Burn and Nice and Slow. But then what?

You Think Stuff like Climax OMG and Moving Mountains are beating stuff like Dueces,Heat,Loyal,No Guidance?? lol

And people gotta stop the disrespect like Breezy dont have classics. Say Goodbye and Dont Judge me can go against Usher's top songs.
