I thought August "Alpina" Alsina had the R&B disc of the year.

But this X album is the turtles squirtles.

Most producers are no-names that came through with heat.

Well balanced and a lot of actual R&B.

And n****s thought the genre was dead.

The shiit is back mothafukkas!!

.
Where is the actual R&B on here?

That's where FORTUNE Shines @Silkk

There's too much dub step influence on here and the album has no direction you can tell it wasn't made at the same time.

Insignificant posting from an insignificant poster

That's a good observation.

But New Flame, 12 Play and Drown In it, They Don't Know, Fine China don't come off as R&B sounding tracks to you?

Fortune is a personal CB classic to me. I still listen to it every week.

Fame has a lot of that dub step stuff you're referencing, but its well produced and with Chris on the vocals, you never go wrong (Oh My Love is my fav from song on that disc).

Right now, i have 186 CB songs (album tracks, remixes, features, all his mixtapes, bootlegs, side b's, etc.).

Dude has the best R&B discography of any of the new post 2005 cats.

I always envision him dancing when i hear his music. So infectious.

This album is kind of all over the place

No different than his last 2 albums. Didn't really delve into Graffiti. But Exclusive and his debut may be his most cohesive sounding to date.

X has the strongest singles, imo. May be even tied with Exclusive.

I'm a huge CB fans as well. I do agree that those songs are R&B but those are 6 of the 21 songs

Songs like "came to do it" are blatant throwaways and songs like "add me in " and "body shot" are poorly exucuted concepts

I do understand This album was suppose to be released last year then he got into legal trouble

Plus some of the songwriting is awful. That line about the isosceles triangles in Add Me In was :usure::scust:.

Same problem in Fortune.
