So, he was just supposed to carry my Hornets to a championship, in the West (I shouldn't even have to tell you who was dominating from '05-'12)?

Dude, those Hortnets teams were not competitive
Who said anything about a championship?

Don't dilute the conversation.

Tell me he's been underwhelming, in LA? Okay, let's have that discussion.
He's been underwhelming.

But, since the beginning of this season; you've got cats makin' seem like doesn't even deserve a All-Star spot and this all started because we've created this "thing" were we have to pick on a new player that's supposed to win a championship--or face being called wack, overrated, a fraud, etc.

I know you're only referring to it as a minimum example standpoint, but can't you seen that it holds weight when:

Clippers had a better record without him, prior to him getting injured
He was competing with Curry, Lillard, Westbrook, Dragic and Harden for guard spots
/
4+ PGs in the league that have arguably around the same impact he does on the floor

He should have been picked on seasons ago, he should have been put under the spot light as soon as he hit LA. But no, two seasons later and here we are still talking about how he should be absolved from any blame. A supposed top 5 player, best PG in the league for years that has never been out of the second round. His first round collapse against the Spurs was soon forgotten, his 10-point milk box performance in the elimination game against the Lakers the season before was forgotten too - the pattern of his bad performances in big stage situations are forgotten and replaced with performances where his 'teammates' didn't step up .. the same type of shyt we'd clown Bron or Melo for being too greedy, or not greedy enough or missing a spot or not rising to the ocassion.

Ya'll have jumped the shark with the CP crictism. Ya'll call him the "Teflon Don," but, ya'll definitely swing to the other extreme.

:dahell:

Jumped the shark? He's been in the league for nearly a decade with now the most talented/deepest squad in the league. Attitudes like yours are the very reason folk call him the Teflon Don. It's not swinging to the other extreme, if yall wanna call him a top 5 player than you damn well have to treat him like one too, when shyt falls apart.

Word to Melo.

Man everybody's injured this time of year, he gotta stop making excuses. But yeah, he was :manny: He looks great this year though.
being beat up/tired isn't the same as being injured. You can tell when an injury hampers a player, Just like Al Jeff this year, It was obvious Paul wasn't right last year, his shoulder is injured at the moment, but last year it was a leg/foot injury if memory serves me correct, which was hampering his movement and speed.

You my dude, but, you're provin' my point here, with this "flavor of the month" nonsense. It's Chris' turn on the 'what have you done for me, lately?' merry-go-round.

Let me make my position simple and clear; there's Clipper's CP and N.O.C.P.

I don't wanna hear nothing about Chris, when he was on my team.

His last two seasons, he played on one leg and took a championship caliber Laker team to 6 games.

If you think he should have beat up on Kobe, Pau, Odom & Co, by himself all series? Cool...I mean, he was only 22, 11, a steal, almost 7 rebounds a game on 55 FG/47% 3FG.

Really, I should neg you for bringing up his only bad game on that amazing run.

He didn't play great against the Spurs (the Spurs , not the Hawks or the Wizards or someone, the Spurs!). But what the Skips of the world can't comprehend--it happens. We talk about it and move on, because, he's still a great player and has been since before Curry, Lillard, Westbrook, Dragic and Harden were even in the league.

He played with no All-Star caliber two way player, his whole time in the N.O.

Tyson was great for defense and lobs. D-West wasn't all that defensively and was mainly a pick and pop player. And his most competent backup ain't even in the league, anymore (Jannero Pargo).

All the work he had to do to make the Hornets even a competitive team is the genesis of his "dribble-dribble" style.

Okay, you think he deserves criticism--I do, too. But, ya'll (recently) have throw all context all of the window, when discussing Chris' position, his 3 seasons with the Clippers.

If you think LA's a better team with out him; cool, I think it's ridiculous, but, go 'head.

You're not going to get a fight out of me about his time in L.A.
But, I'm  at this notion that in was all good before Chris came.

@Malta has had the best argument throughout this whole fiasco, it's that PGs, period, maybe over valued, in this league.

What happened game 7 I missed it? :mjpls:

Did Steph drop that bomb? :mjpls:

Surely Westbrook killed him game 1 though, right? :mjpls:

Curry outplayed Paul in game 7. Paul just had more help. That was clear. Paul just had more assists (Again he has more help)
