They did. You must have selective memory or don't remember Big Ben all over ESPN for weeks on end.
:patrice: i remember ESPN refusing to report on it....

but they reported the Kaepernick, the moment it was known. Even though the "evidence" against Kaepernick was wayyyy less than Roethlisberger's:mjpls: They even added a picture of Kapernick with a hat backward to help you make up your mind :mjpls:

After the AP reported on McNulty's lawsuit, ESPN told reporters not to pick up the story, ostensibly because criminal charges had not been filed. ESPN news director Vince Doria said, "We don't think it meets our standard of reporting." But Mike Florio from NBC Sports says, "we're convinced that the Roethlisberger story initially was ignored due to concerns that ESPN would be jeopardizing its access to the two-time Super Bowl-winning quarterback, who also happens to play for the team with the most loyal and rabid fan base in America."

Eventually ESPN did report on the civil suit, but at every step of the way, Ben Roethlisberger had friends with a vested interest in keeping McNulty's story quiet. And that, says Jaclyn Friedman of Yes Means Yes, "is what rape culture looks like." She points out that ESPN is "the same network whose sideline reporter is currently being exploited all over the ‘net in a peeping tom video." She continues,

Exactly. We gotta be asked to REMEMBER like you said. Who argues that? Let a black athlete do the same, ESPN would be sure to always REMIND you.

A difference you clearly can't see here

You're asking me to see the issue as a black vs white thing and I don't believe it is.

No one gives a shyt about Pittsburgh. No one gives a shyt about Big Ben. In a few weeks, no one will give a shyt about Bill Cosby. There are black and white players that had worse offenses than Ray Rice or AP, yet they didn't get the publicity.

Look at this list of NFL players charged this year. Does that white media keep reporting on all these infractions?

The Ray Rice and AP cases were polarizing cases involving two superstars of the league. Of course they will get more attention and the situation will last longer on newscasters minds.

Jameis Winston is a bigger star than Big Ben? :mindblown:

So Mike Franceasa was lying on EAPNs "wait...wait and see" approach given to Big Ben going as far as COMMANDING their reporters NOT to talk about it?

Man please. A black athlete will always have a fine print of their shortcomings tied to them on ESPN coverage unless he works for the network.
Stay in denial playboy and dismiss us as delusional

So Pittsburgh doesn't have one of the biggest national fanbases in the countrys most popular entertainment industry?

So a Superbowl MVP winning QB is someone that "nobody cares about" all of a sudden?

On what planet was Ray Rice ever a bigger superstar than Big Ben?
