Kanye does collaborate on lyrics sometimes, I know Rhymefest and Consequence cowrote for him. In the Art Of Rap documentary he said that he wrote all of Twisted Fantasy, and i believe the same is probably true of Yeezus. You can kind of tell based on what hes rapping about, and his penchant for uncomfortable imagery/bad jokes.

I say this as a southerner but I'll never understand the infatuation with Scarface. He's about as basic as you can get IMO. He was just a Dude who rapped with raw emotion to me.
