Why couldn't these white people just respond with, "Great point Lecrae...This is something all Americans must remember!"
So simple.
...Why does it have to be a moment to "educate" thru patronizing? It's the same script. We shed light...they get mad and want to preach love, when all we're doing is paying homage.
If you take a step back...that's what we're doing, and they get threatened by it.
That white supremacist gene runs deep.
That's a great point.
Honestly so many white people of today want to ride the coattails of the white abolitionist.
They always champion them whenever a racial issue arises.
They are always so quick to bring up Wilberforce and Lincoln (who wasn't an abolitionist but I digress).
But in reality, if we were to take all of today's white population and travel back in time, they wouldn't be apart of the tiny minority that was the abolitionist.
They would be right there with the slave owners and masters holding their pitchforks and burning the crosses.
Why couldn't these white people just respond with, "Great point Lecrae...This is something all Americans must remember!"
....sounds like the "i'm not your friend" line kids use when they get upset about something......
