So my sister is an atheist. And my aunt can't stand that shiit. I bring it up to her all the time just to see her get pissed and get a good laugh :mjlol:

But anyway my sister was recently in a bad accident. Her car was totaled and it looked like it was dropped from a 1000 story building. But lucky all she had was a fractured bone in her arm.

So my aunt of course saw this as an opportunity to "convert"

Aunt: "Now you can't tell me God doesn't exist. He saved you"

Sister: "No. I saved myself by swerving at the last minute." :jawalrus:

Bruh my aunt just started crying :russ:

So Christians I ask you, how do y'all react when your "See, God does exist" moments don't work?

Its all about perception my friend. Some people see these type of events as luck or human will, but if you believe in a higher power such as I do, then you'd attribute these types of happenings to that power. People have car accidents and die everyday. The odds are against me if I'm in a car accident as many do not come out unscathed. I give praise to Jesus the Christ because I choose to do so if my life is spared. However you perceive the situation is on you. You want to count it as luck or your own basic maneuvering, so be it. But there is a power that has control over everything.

Your aunt is reacting like this because she, as a Christian, believes that your daughter is mocking God, is an unrepentant sinner, and had she died in that wreck, she would be sentenced to eternal damnation.

I know you're not religious, but if you can put yourself in that particular frame of mind, you would realize that this shyt is not a game to your aunt, at all.

Lol

Where are Iraqi Christians today? Syrian Christians?

Even Lebanon is majority Muslim now
:russ:
Take heed not to generalize brethren. There are thriving Christian churches even in Syria. Just like in the latter days of the New Testament, they must meet in secrecy and keep a low profile for the reasons you mentioned. Just because you only read of the persecution of Christians in this area, does not mean that there are many who are not being persecuted.

Millions have fled the region. Christianity in the Middle East (outside of Egypt and Lebanon) will be extinct in a few decades.

The irony is that the wars of the evangelical Christian George W Bush accelerated this process :russ:
