Why do people try to control what they cant control and persuade who they cant sway? Does it really bother some people to the core that other people hold ideologies different to theirs?

I mean if you genuinely thought your nieces beliefs would lead to eternal suffering wouldn't that bother you a bit?

So my sister is an atheist. And my aunt can't stand that shiit. I bring it up to her all the time just to see her get pissed and get a good laugh

But anyway my sister was recently in a bad accident. Her car was totaled and it looked like it was dropped from a 1000 story building. But lucky all she had was a fractured bone in her arm.

So my aunt of course saw this as an opportunity to "convert"

Aunt: "Now you can't tell me God doesn't exist. He saved you"

Sister: "No. I saved myself by swerving at the last minute."

Bruh my aunt just started crying


So Christians I ask you, how do y'all react when your "See, God does exist" moments don't work?

Get cancer and start your daily prayers to Allah/god..

I'm just saying how she probably felt, but in Christianity in general its not supposed to be arrogance. It's not supposed to be thinking you or someone alone is "special" enough. It's supposed about no one person being better than the other. Note the key word supposed.

The original post concerns God's ability to directly interject to save a person from harm.

My simple question is, why does God interject to save some people...but fail to interject in saving others? I understand that we all die. But we die in vastly different manners. Dying in a fire after a car crash is a little different than dying of old age surrounded by loved ones. Why does God interject to save some people (and enable them to live a long life) but not others (and forcing them to die painfully in a fiery car crash)?

but this is just my opinion. if you look at all things considered, every human who's ever existed, all the terrible shyt thats taken place on this planet. for a person to believe that theyre on a first-name basis with the creator of the universe, and that he actually cares about the insignificant things that go on and happen in their daily life it doesnt get much more arrogant than that. the thought of it actually being true is delusion at the highest level
