It's not a matter of anyone putting their will ahead of God's. It's a matter of YOU putting YOUR will ahead of logic and truth. You don't want your beliefs to be false so you cling to them despite evidence to the contrary. But there's not a damn thing virtuous about that kind of "faith". It's cowardly and intellectually dishonest.

Describe it any way you want but you are basically using your choice to deny another. Dress it up behind intellect and try to justify the best you can. A personal choice determined by you to take B over A.

And you have the free will to believe in the purple people eater if you so desire. If you choose to believe in what you want people usually morph reality to fit their beliefs also.

If your belief conflicts with reality, it is a delusion. No amount of "morphing" will change that.
You don't have to. You have that choice just like any girl who likes you and you don't like them back. Love not given freely ends up with a restraining order.
