Same way as you respect any other slang. I dont know or understand Russian slang, and its not for me to use. If I went to Russia trying to repeat some shyt just cause i heard them say it and I thought it was cool, I'd probably get bussed upside the head and not one Russian would be asking. "How do you expect others to respect the words, when we say them everyday"
so...that's not reverence nor respect, that's fear. I have no problem with having people fear disrespecting you but that only goes so far in a modern democratic society.
and the dynamic of "minority visitor using slang he does not understand the history" of is wholly different than this one:manny:

Respect and fear go hand in hand. If we point fingers at each other cause white folks use the word, then we loose both.

No it's not. Justin Beiber is a minority visitor in the hoods where the slang he uses originates.

Why do ppl have a problem with "nikka" which is a totally different word from the "er" at the end.
If Webster Dictionary can say "there" and "their" which are closer are different, why can't ppl accept that they are different.

Cac alert :sas2: Plus that's a terrible example.

Ive yet to meet a person who can explain to me why they, I or any other black person would want to be referred as "nikka" in the first place...like you cant just call me by my name :beli:

The definition of a word is dictated the ppl who use it. It is used as a term of endearment the cacs can't use. Social groups come up with slang, its human nature. Its obvious that if I say "Whats up my nikka" I don't mean it in the same way as a cac saying "er" in the slavery days. The prefix only means the word will be associated to something black not that there is negative connotation to any word that starts with "nig" (ex. Nigeria or Niger)

Have a problem using the word "nikka" a term of endearment created by black americans that cacs can't use.
Yet happily refer to yourself as "Negro" (black object) or "minority" because the cac media says it ok

This statement tells me we live in different paradigms and will not understand each other, so I will just agree to disagree:handshake:

He's just as far removed from the language he uses, as I would be if I started repeating some shyt I heard on Russian radio.

Again seeing the life of a pop star as equivalent to a black man visiting and living amongst Russian people tells me we view the world from different paradigms and we simply won't understand each other. So agree to disagree once again

Here your being deliberately obtuse cause you really have no argument.

You know damn well I just used Justin Beiber as an example. I'm speaking to any white person in America that thinks they can say nikka cause they heard it on the radio.

Just like I wouldn't listen to Russians or anyone else's slang/music and decide that I know enough to be repeating the shyt, white people shouldn't listen to rap and decide that they can replicate it.

And black people damn sure should'nt be pointing the finger at each other because some white people choose to be ignorant and disrespectful.
