Dont we want to see a lesser seed team steal a game or two?
You never know what could happen after that.

But I do agree with the stretching out of games. 3 days off in between games is bad. BUT, I also like watching one game at a time as opposed to the old way, like you said, 2 games at once.

my fault, should've clarified, Philly won their game when it was 3-0, just to stretch it to 5 and go back to Miami. Yea, having a lower seed win early in the series to make things interesting is definitely better, but when its like Philly or NYK last year just winning that one game to avoid the sweep, nah, just wrap that series up.

with the tv schedule though that one extra game drags out the series way too long. I wouldn't really have an issue with it if things were like the old days when the league didn't mind showing 2 games at once on TNT/TBS and followed a normal "day off in between/2 days in between for travel" schedule, but with 2 and 3 days off for this made for tv schedule, having an extra game for a series that is a mere formality just needlesly stretches things out. Then God forbid a bottom team steal a game like the Heat/Sixers a couple years ago...

More people have NBA TV than multiple TV's, and the NBA schedules it like this so that most games have your undivided attention (it's a problem, but it's not one the NBA's gonna try to fix)

Who do you know that has multiple TVs in the same room to watch 2 games at once?

Also, Stern isnt getting that extra playoff money with all these series. At least 5 of them are 5 games MAX series.

It'll never happen, they went with 7 games because it insures both teams get at minimum 2 home games. Home games are around $1-2 million per team.
