As somebody who watched both Days and Weeks later multiple times, this shyt didn't hit for me at all

from the time time Spike ran off with his mom until the end, I ended up randomly checking my phone or catching myself fall asleep multiple times.

2nd half had zero tense scenes, zero jump scares. Stakes felt mad low. Im mad I spent money on this to get the "movie" experience

I thought the scene where his mom was calming him down before she got put down was beautiful though.

Although how he was able to just shrug off seeing her skull afterwards? Yeah....idk about all that lol

Just watched a cam rip and that ending:

Yeah, they should've played the Power Rangers theme song while everything was happening. It was that goofy and completely pulled the rug from under the rest of the movie. Those characters looked like they hopped out of a Rick & Morty portal and crashed the scene. I swear one of their costumes liked like Naruto. No way can you have them be the main part of the next movie.

A major issue with this movie is it just doesn't feel like a 28 movie. The different types of infected felt like The Last of Us.

I don't know how anyone can say this is good when the second was lifeless. 1st half wasn't very good either. Add on one the worst endings ever and this doesn't even deserve a sequel let alone a trilogy.

The heavily stylized elements were completely unnecessary. It just made things feel choppy and poorly edited.

5/10

Is Cillian featured heavily in this? I wanted to see it in theaters to support, but if he isn’t I can wait for Max or whatever…

Saw this today. Left very disappointed in all honesty. Just happy I used a gift card to see it. The tone was just all over the place at times. The second half just….felt weird. The stakes weren’t there. Characters were just acting dumb horror movie ish. Just….i dunno man.

Goddamn man I figured the kid was gonna leave with the mom but like…..I dunno. Felt like it should’ve all been more difficult. And I feel like at some point over those 15 years somebody would’ve probably gone to contact that doctor dude. Like seriously? Come the fukk on. Also what the fukk was that goofy ass Guy Ritchie ass ending? My friends and I all burst out laughing when the credits rolled. Thought it was another random dream or something. Was kinda hoping that they were soft biting the ending from The Descent and they’d cut away from those British power rangers and show the kid like trapped and screaming holding back infected as the credits rolled. But uhhhhh yeah I’ll catch the sequel on Max

Is it just an ending that provides no closure or is it a ridiculous kind of ending where you scratch your head and question what were they thinking?
The end is definitely ridiculous depending on how you perceive it. I have a comment I would like to make regarding the ridiculous part of your question, but then it would outright spoil it for you. So I'll refrain and won't make that specific comment.

But the ending also, sets up the tone and plot for the immediate sequel that we will be getting (supposedly in 6 months from now). And it also answered a few questions we had regarding a few scenes throughout the movie. But I definitely was scratching my head. I'll land my plane there.

Told them to shut up, I don't care, I been dreaming about this movie literally since the last one, I'll go see it in a theater by myself tuesday afternoon and I don't care how bad it is it's going to be a 10 out of 10 for me :mjcry:

It was ok, but the trailer for this previews one of the the greatest zombie movies ever but in reality most of the scenes in the trailer don't really connect to each other. They showed that girl in a mask like there was a cult but that was just a few seconds of Spike's party that never lead to anything other than Spike seeing his father with the local girl.

Also find it hard to believe that none of those old folks at the village didn't realized that the mom didn't have cancer or dementia at least.

If they knew Cillian wasn't going to really be in this but will show up in the future, he should have least been the Luke Skywalker at the end of Force Awakens for Spike at the end of this instead of the Ninja Teletubbies :pachaha:

The sequel to this is called the "The Bone Temple" so does that mean we are not leaving this area on the map? I was hoping the Teletubbies would take him further inland and in counter more factions. I hope its not another mission to find the doctor because they need him for something else.

.... exactly . . ..

. . . the ending should have been Jim (not Jimmy) standing up there on some "come with me if you want to live" type shyt . . and then Spike looks at the road and then looks back up and reaches out to start climbin the rocks. . . .. . cut to the credits . .. . .
