I don’t even think the middle class as most people define it exist. It’s really the working poor and white color working class.

If you don’t have assets that can sustain you so you do not have to work another day in your life…. You’re the working class.
Working class means you don’t own the way you earn your wages. Most of us are working class.

But away from semantics, my only point is we don’t have policies that support non-wealthy/capital class interests.

It’s funny I think that all discussions of class require a brief discussion of what means what. Also you are absolutely correct about policies but that is partly because people don’t understand class.

Reminds me of Jay-Z when he tried to say 'capitalist' is a slur

Also keep in mind that when Clarence was trying get that supreme court nomination he was accused of sexual harassment and Joe Biden was in charge of the investigation.

I agree completely. Class is left intentionally out of the American education and thinking in order to keep is divided. It’s hard to start any connective coalition without understanding Class. When you do understand class and start speaking on it, you get abandoned, ignored or assassinated if you have a big enough platform (MLK).

It is why I start talking and thinking about class more while still have race in mind.

America is the only place where poor people pretend to be rich and rich people pretend to be poor.

I read the WSJ Editorial, thought it had some points, but the attempt to label the writing salacious was pretty comical.

It's not the exact same, but Bob Menendez, New Jersey Senator, went through a similar ordeal, was actually prosecuted by the Justice Department, and they lost. He had a friend who was convicted serial medicare heath care fraud violator, and the two traveled together, went on vacations, he paid for Menendez's hotel rooms and flights.

Honestly the Dems should drag the old perv into the light because it’ll embarrassing and it could be used during campaign season. The Dems need to start vilifying the SC because on the low them being radical conservatives is what is empowering all this state rights nonsense we are seeing.

Those little racist/conservative state fiefdoms only act out because there is an implied threat that if the federal government goes at them to stop and it turns into a lawsuit the SC might codify their behavior into law.

Part of all this, is the SC decision concerning Bob McDonnell, former VA governor, whose conviction was overturned. I read that indictment in 2014, and it was a 100% case, but the SC changed the way federal can be interpreted, and raised the bar for corruption cases.

Would say that Thomas's behavior and no doubt other SC Justices beliefs align with their own behavior, concerning bribery/gifts/disclosure.
