Classic Japanese games (Cyberpunk setting) picture thread

for alot of those who dont know. Japan was big on the cyberpunk setting in the 80s & 90s, and due to that, a number of games released around that time were set in futuristic dystopian settings. This is a picture dump for most games from the PC-88, PC-98, Sharp X68000, FM-Towns series of games (around 1986 to 1994)

I dont know about you guys, but I think the setting looks so beautiful... especially when done with sprite art

I posted some more modern day related pics from those games in the last few posts because we ourselves do live in a cyberpunk-esque world. where technology is continuing to grow and become more normal in our daily lives aswell as a widening gap between the haves & the have nots. While it may not be as high tech as we see in fantasy. It is still an ever increasing reality that we face. A number of things are becoming corporate owned and Corporations themselves have more power than some governments do.

I was thinkin of making a thread of this music too. cus it really captures the feel of a dystopian future. while Pertubator is more rock oriented, Megadrive focuses on the melody and the environment he is trying to project through his music. both are good artists in their own right
