HeadsprungIf y'all could use one word to sum up Cool J's rap career, what would it be?
Pioneering. LL Cool J was really the first successful solo rapper act.

LL cool j's best talent is being able to recreate his own series of classic records.
well after or during the height of the draw for one of his older records in that series.
He has the best and highest quality commercial driven discography by volume in the history of rap and arguably only one or two girl songs are touching his top girls in his discography..of which you could say he has the two best girl songs in the history of rap ever made.
Which were made to add on to the series and twenty years later recreated another perfect classic to add on to the series.
extending his recording career for two to three more albums.
Also, he has the highest skill showing with r Kelly.
to close out the who rapped best with r Kelly feature collabs discussion as well.
Including helping the draw of the posse cut be moved into a real drawing realm as a pre-req for commercial album template on defjam.
Plus arguably being the guy who is used as the template for all defjam releases.
unless they were someone marketed as completely different in Redman.
So it is a lot of history to discuss and it deals with the culture to commercialism.
as an exact science in rap history and as an industry.

the dude left an astronomical impact on rap, both immediate and long-term and he doesn't get enough credit for that
great post
i wasnt dissing that songNobody in commercial rap can really execute the headsprung flow at all other than LL, tho.
So, trying to diss headsprung as a troll joke won't work.
Headsprung was dope, and from a technical level of emcee'n.
I don't know to many in the history of rap who could have done that when asked and on a lead timberland style single either.
To this day that record is still a bds getter and they play it everywhere you least expect to this day.

Dey call me,......
nikka snapped.
LL Cool J is precisely one of the artists I was referring to when I said there would be hip-hop artists covered in this series whose music I was never into when they were actually making music.
I was never into him. There was the occasional song I liked, like "I'm Bad," but I'm an album guy, and he wasn't someone who I would listen to for an entire album.

none. "Mama Said Knock You Out" is a notable album in his career, but that shyt doesn't have the quality to be considered classic.
Top 5:
Intro (GOAT album)
Big Ole Butt
Doin It
Luv U Better
4, 3, 2, 1
6th man: Shut Em Down
I was an LL fan in the 90s. But he's never been an album artist imo. He's dope for a couple hits every year or so, but whole albums? nah
its towards the bottom as far as LL singles go. thats the only reason i mentioned it. i always liked that song though. You trolled that song,...

Mama said is one of the few perfect classics in rap history.

stop stalking me. Especially with your fake-deep "knowledge".
Instead of rambling on the internet, put that time into making sure you don't sound like K-Rino's retarded son.

You can not give out advice at all, and you don't post right.
I can not take any advice from a person who went online and earned a red badge, goofie.
You not the fan who can give me advice on music.
Keep deflecting and further cementing your red badge tho.
You mad a horrible comment and try to act like you are knowledgeable about rap.
When if you knew rap you would know mama said is a perfect classic.
Don't get mad and deflect because I am the person to point out you are wrong.
